While the site was beautiful, the campsites were very close together. There was a large group playing music, drinking and being loud until 3am a few sites down, plus young children yelling at dawn in a different site. Not the most peaceful campsite, but a good jumping off spot for driving into the park for daytrips.

This was a great campground that had enough amenities to be comfortable (potable water, flush toilets, picnic table, grill, fire ring, but not too luxury so you feel like youre roughing iit a little. It was nice and quiet an the camping spots had great views. You can hike right out if the campground into beautiful wilderness. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the little gift shop was well stocked . On the flip side, the roads were hard to navigate because of potholes. The trails were well marked to an extent but not consistently.

Stunning views. The campsites are right next to each other, though.

Quiet campground, easy trails nearby. Gets cold at night! Being warm gear, it gets windy.

The campsite is pretty easy to get to. The lower number spots start off to the right, then go up and around to the left counterclockwise of the main building. The bathrooms were very clean, just no paper towels to dry off your hands. The road inside the site is pretty beaten up, but it works. The sites are pretty small, you’ll definitely see & hear your neighbors throughout your stay. No too much shade, so bring your own shade. For $25, not a bad stay at all. I’ll definitely return to this location.

Joshua Tree has a stark and rugged beauty that I had previously not recognized.

The campground was perfect for the stargazing, which was our goal.

Staff and Rangers were very friendly and helpful, and I now have my Lifetime National Parks Pass.
