The campground is very clean and well-maintained. I was there on a Friday night and folks were rolling in from SoCal. With exception of one noisier campsite crew, that went long into the night (3AM), it was a good experience. I hiked the Panorama Loop the following AM and the proximity was convenient.

Black Rock campgound in the Joshua Tree National Park is easy to get to and offers many veiw camping sites for all campers: tents, vans, trailers and full rigs. Check in at the Nature center provides info for the whole park and includes the Nature Center display area, some seating and internet access. A number of trails provide hiking and riding opportunities for all ages with many hiking milage abilities and interests including horses and some cycling.

It was our first time camping ever and it was wonderful. The bathrooms were very clean and the ranger or maybe she was a camp host was very nice. Will definitely go back!

Navigating the campground is confusing and the roads are in dire need of repair. The water spigot was more like an old pump two loops away from us. However, our site was a decent size for the two of us and we had a lovely view since we were on the outside edge of the campground. I'd stay here again with the aforementioned caveats in mind.

beautiful campsite (one of the prettiest in the park), but you need to leave the park and enter town to get there which takes away from the remoteness. also because of its proximity to town there is full cellphone service and possibly because of that seems to attract a lot of families and big groups. could be great depending on what youre looking for but was definitely a bit off putting.

The ranger at the check-in station and helping out in the store was super helpful and welcoming.

A very big, busy National Park campground. Like many National Park campgrounds your neighbours are right next to you so if you like peace and quiet when you're camping this probably isn't the place for you. One saving grace, we couldn't hear any generators, it was all tent campers where we were (hoping that was by design).

Camp site was clean and close to rest rooms but it was too congested.

The campsite was a lot bigger than I anticipated. It was very close to a Walmart/Stater Bros Market where you can buy extra firewood if needed. Everyone was quiet and respectful. Most people in masks. Bathrooms clean. Check-in is easy and fast. There is no checkout, you just have to leave on time. Really quick drive to the west entrance of the park. STARS WERE AMAZING!

Clean campground and friendly staff. Great hiking trails around. Easy to book camp sites. Some campsites were on top of each other, which was disturbing for a bit, but if you book early enough, you could find a remote one. Would definitely recommend.

Nice campground, but lots of sites close together. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
