I understand there may have been layoffs and the campsite may not have anyone on duty now, but it did last year. Last year we had our immediate neighbors with 5 cars and ~9 to 11 people, playing the game mafia well past 1am, and everything was funny to them..out loud. This year, a multi-family of maybe 15 with at least 6 kids under 8 years of age, chopping at Joshua trees with rock. Not sure it is was the same family but after midnight, bumping music loud enough for me to hear it 50 yards away. This is not Havasu and its not Lake Perris. If your team does not control and enforce the rules, you will soon be another terrible campground. Trust me, if you allow them once, the word gets out and they will come. Like I said last year, love the place but please do better. I do my part as do so many others. Control those who think they own the grounds.

The roads are not great and hard to navigate in the dark. Other than that, its great!

The campsite was on a corner so we had very little disturbance around us from other campers. It felt very secluded. There was no shade, but a small pop-up helped with that. The view of the stars at night was amazing.

This site was perfect! It was windy the first night but theres a little nook next to some greenery where you can pitch a tent and avoid the gusts. The fire pit comes with a grate where you can easily turn your bonfire into a cookout. Toilets that flush are always a plus which I noticed was a step up from some of the other campgrounds in the area. The campground is not technically inside the National Park so a pass isnt required to camp there. The park entrance itself is a quick drive up and over. Other reviews arent lying when they say that this campground has more Joshua Trees than any other area in or around the park.

Nice view. a bit exposed to wind as the site is on the edge of the slope toward main thoroughfare to Nature center. The site ground is a bit eroded, the only somewhat level flat spot is on the far end of the site away from the table and fire-ring.... having good cellphone signals is nice.

great view. bathrooms are just below you don't hear the toilets flush. the fire pit needs to be cleaned out as its too shallow. there is a water source at the top of the road for dishes wish we knew that on day 1. wallmart is 8 mins away which was nice and home depot is next door for wood.

Love JT and Blackrock. Great if you want reservations, running water and access to trails and town.

There are many sites here, located within a nicely-wooded area (Joshua trees) that affords beautiful views and also offering some privacy. Flush toilets are located throughout the campground, but could be a bit more of a walk from some of the sites. Don't trust the "Campground Full" signs at the entrance, as there were at least a dozen sites available on the day we visited. You cannot make a "same-day" reservation, so planning ahead is your best option.
