When we first got there, our campsite was a little small for our RV. The camp host let us change to a better campsite that was not reserved and made our stay most enjoyable. The campground and bathrooms were really clean. It was nice to hear the Creek running through the canyon all day and night. The trail next to the creek was also nice to walk on. It was easy access to the lake, hiking and fishing.

very nice. clean, quite. Only one night but it was nice. Good fly fishing 7 fish one night.

We arrived at our camp site at three twenty seven in the afternoon on a Sunday. We had our own bear locker next to a picnic table, which my camp mate rejoiced at. The site was welcoming and organized, and shaded by tall pines with reddish bark. The toilets across the dirt road were single-stall, and clean. Toilet paper was provided, but the caretaker recommended being our own just in case their supply ran out. The stream adjacent to our camp site was a river, roaring with the winter storm runoff, and was unsafe to interact with. We saw many men and women pass our camp, loaded with rods and tackle for fishing, but all were unsuccessful in their hunt for water snacks. The constant roar of the small river soothed us at night, and we grew to like the white noise it made. The morning after we arrived I made eggs and bacon for breakfast, frying the olive bread we had purchased at Shats Bakery in Bishop in the excess bacon fat. It was a good meal. By far the best meal was the loaded nachos my camp mate made on Monday evening. Layers of tortilla chips and cheese, garlicky spread, fresh corn off the cob in a cast iron skillet covered with foil and cooked on a two-burner propane stove. Fresh avocado was cut up and scattered on top. It was a meal fit for queens, and we ate with a true joy. There were no less than five bears at any time in our camp site. They would run through the camp, stopping only to listen to my footsteps, and they dug holes under the rocks. At dusk they would bark, and in the morning they stole my underwear, which I had not put in the bear locker. 42/42, would recommend.

The folks who made reservations and didn’t show up really create a problem. I hope the penalties for no-shows is significant enough to discourage that behavior.

Bathrooms were so clean and tidy. The camp hosts were so friendly. The creek is right there, you can spend all day just hopping up an down the creek, or trying you luck at fishing.

We had a GREAT time!!! The Camp Managers were great! The campground was clean, the bathrooms were clean. Such nice people and a wonderful place to camp!

The campground hosts are fabulous, clean restrooms, on top of any problems that may occur. Had a great trip.
