I return every year to celebrate my birthday, I wouldnt want to be anywhere else The campground is beautiful and peaceful. The bathrooms are kept clean but its really up to the campers to clean up after themselves (someone pooped on the floor one day). Theres a bitter old lady working as one of the camp managers, avoid her. Theres a very aggressive dog at another camp manager site, avoid them if you have a dog. But, you know what, in spite of our recent experience I am looking forward to next year!

No regrets camping out here at East Fork!Terri, her husband, and the other camp hosts/managers did a fantastic job in keeping Bathrooms and the Site clean. They sell firewood as well (reasonably priced). Our camp site was clean and had enough privacy with shade for our comfort. The hosts really do the best they possibly can to keep everything tidy, but one has to understand that campers also have to do their parts. The bathrooms in our area were clean and kept that way with help of mindful campers. I have seen bathrooms at other sites with large groups of people hanging out throughout the day, lets say Ill avoid those bathrooms by nighttime. Please dont drive too fast in the area, many families with children walking around. And if the hosts/managers do yell at you, it is because you need to slow down! Many thanks to Terri and her husband.

Gorgeous setting, but this is a big campground - 130+ sites. It can get smoky with that many campfires when there is no wind. Bathrooms were clean, sites are pretty well spaced from each other. My main problem was with the campground hosts. One was gone for a while, with a friend subbing for him as his dog barked, barked, barked. Later, as we were leaving the campground, he and the other host blocked the exit with their little carts, and got huffy and yelled when I tried to drive around them. They acted liked they owned the place, as opposed to being contractors for a piece of property that all of us own as Americans.

I loved our stay at this campground. Our site, #34, was very large and we could not see our neighbors (we could hear them though). The campsite was very close to 2 bathrooms, which were kept very clean. Bring your own paper towels because there are not any in the bathroom. I loved walking along the creek everyday of our stay and found the sound of the water to be very soothing at night. We did have a critter try to get into our bear locker one night, and although I could not see the animal I know it wasn't a raccoon or similar sized animal by the sound of the locker being rattled. There is no cell service at this campground. The campground is very easy to get to, and if you keep going up the road past the campground you will get to the very beautiful Rock Creek lake. There are many popular points of interest in close proximity to this campground (Mammoth, June Lake, Convict Lake, Devils Post pile). When choosing your campsite be aware that some of the sites close to the entrance are very small and have no shade. The sites along the creek have no privacy but have lots of shade. The camp host sells firewood for $7 a bundle. Each site has a fire pit and a BBQ, plus the bear locker is big enough for your cooler and other things you need to stow in there.
