Gorgeous campground. We were lucky enough to get a FCFS spot next to the water. Loved hearing it as we went to sleep. The bathrooms were always cleaned and stocked.

We only stayed one night. The campground is in a beautiful setting BUT many sites are not good for RV/trailers nor large tents. We were booked in site 128 but it was impossible for our 15' trailer (with a 3' tongue) to fit. It was very narrow and sloped. We changed to a FF site 132 and it was better. There's no place to do dishes or dump dish water, except for the bathroom, which is not a good idea. Other campers complained about the same things. I know some people LOVE this campground, it's not for everyone. LOTS OF BEAR ACTIVITY--you can't even leave a box of crackers on your counter in the camper. We tried to cancel early twice because we decided our site 132 was still pretty unstable but even calling into Rec.gov they said somehow we weren't even checked in yet. We didn't get cell coverage up there (T-Mobile) so we had to drive down to Tom's Place to call Rec.gov but could never get anyone to cancel us. Anyway, one night was fine but I would say if you have an RV/trailer you need to be pretty experienced to get into most spaces.

Absolutely love the campground and everything about it, but campground manager- please keep all the bathrooms open! During our stay all only one out of every two bathrooms were open.

camping in late June was great weather since sunny and cool glacial breezes along hikes. Nighttime was around 40's. Campground 128 was across the road from path to the creek, which was lovely. Afternoon in campground was a bit hot as no shade. Trees around campground are small but lovely. Recommend a canopy or two over bear box and to sit under. High afternoon winds lifted one of our larger tents so we had to strap it to a tree. Recommend spending afternoons on hikes and near lakes instead of in campground. Love East Fork campground - good restrooms, water spigots, scenery and great camp hosts! Recommend getting trail map up the road at the store. No cell phone reception up in the Sierras so brought separate GPS, camera, and FRS / GMRS radios. Also brought battery operated radio just in case. Campsite 128 fits two tents and two cars.
