My review is about the most amazing camp managers in East Fork. Terry and her husband, who I am positive, his name is Daniel. I was supposed to be backpacking up in Pioneer Basin, but a member of our group came down sick and had to be picked up. We were unable to go in on our permit day and had no place to stay and were thinking of getting a hotel. I had reservations the next day for an East Fork campsite in case we came back early. Terry called me while I was in Bishop to inform me that of the 4 campsites I had reserved in 5 days' time, 2 were unable to be occupied due to a widow maker tree. During that call, we shared our worries about not being together due to the split up campsites because of the widow maker tree. In response, she was able to help us sort out the issue by moving us from our previous sites and finding us new campsites that were absolutely beautiful. Also, she said she had a campsite for us instead of a hotel, in case we wanted that. What a huge relief! After the call, we met her in person, bringing Schatz as a thank you gift, and she remembered me from the previous year. During our 9 days staying at East Fork, we frequently met and shared stories back and forth about the adolescent bears in the past years, and past few days. We shared desserts back and forth as well. She and her husband are so nice and easy to work with. Overall this trip was extremely worthwhile. I'm excited to bring more people up with me next time, and hopefully, we get to see these managers again.
