Clean facility. No issues. Hope Lower Sage Flat recovers soon from then avalanche damage.

Site 10 is at the top of the upper loop with a lot a distance from the neighboring sites. Although the parking is sloped uphill, the top is flat which was perfect for our teardrop trailer. The tent pad and table are exposed until late afternoon. The creek runs feet below the site. It’s a little loud, but was white noise when going to sleep.
Chris, the campground manager was friendly. Campground was clean. A couple of sites were closed due to flooding. The vault toilets were very clean.
We went to the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest where we did a 5 mile hike. The forest is at about 10,000 ft elevation. The Visitor Center wasn’t open. It’s about a one hour trip from camp.
We enjoyed our stay.

Campground facilities are in good shape. Many campsites next to Big Pine Creek, which is relaxing, but loud. Nice camp hosts.

Great, well maintained campground. Our site was even raked smooth! Don was a gracious host, and the creek was gorgeous. Would definitely recommend.

I will not stay in Upper sage flat anymore, because I think Sage flat id better.
