Hosts Kim and Linda kept the campground immaculate. Every site clean and raked. We had a beautiful trip!

EXCELLENT spot. This specific campsite was a little small (2 and 4 seemed to be more spacious), but totally worked. Firewood is available for sale at the caretaker's trailer. We had purchased in town, but would probably buy at the camp next time.

Beautiful campground, greatly located if you want to hike the big pine lakes. Be careful, some sites have very little room to pitch a tent though. We had two tents and barely found space for them on site 6.

I came on opening weekend in April. I was at SITE 6 , You get partial shade in the afternoon but the morning can be warm. I would bring some sort of shelter or EZup if able. You have direct access to the river which provides you with water if you want to filter your water from the lake (best to bring your own you never know what folks are doing upstream.) The camp manager was amazing. He was informative and on the spot with management. If you have a pop up trailer / overland type it was a little tricky as I backed up and opened my tent towards driver side but I was able to manage well. Plenty of space for two mid size trucks if you really needed. Would choose this spot again.

the hosts Don and Lynn are the best. Supper clean bathroom and campsite. They always help new arrivals find a campsite. Sorry to hear they won't be back next season.

We were at Upper sage July 18 - 25. It was hot but not as hot as the valley. Stay in the shade and by the water and it was pretty good. Good excursions available if you like to hike and fish. No cell service unless you go down the mountain. The camp host and wife were very nice and he or she cleaned the bathrooms every day they were onsite and checked them multiple times. One of them walked or rode through the campground to make sure all was going well with the campers. It was nice to know he was keeping an eye on things. We will go back

Campground hosts were amazing. Cleanest campsite we have been to in a while. Very quiet and small place.

We were right next to the creek and in the shade. Neighbors were quiet and respectful. Couldn't have had a better time.
