i put too much cash in the envelope because i didnt have change. the host, without being asked, personally returned the excess. great campsite. great experience

We have been camping at upper sage campground for 30 years, but an absence of the last five years due to Covid and the destructive storm that campground, we returned very nice spot in the hosts (Kim and wife) very accommodating and hard-working. I really appreciate all their help when we needed it.

A beautiful campground and bathrooms were very clean. I'm always impressed when the campsites are racked, I think it shows the camp hosts really care about the campground and the people who are going to be enjoying it.

Camp manager kept coming by my campsite asking a lot of questions!Asking my name last name!! First time I’ve been harassed Camping in the Sierras I never go back to that campsite again! But it was beautiful

The small campground was very well maintained and most sites had plenty of space and separation between adjacent sites. The bathrooms were clean; the camp hosts were super nice. Our site was spacious, secluded, and shaded. It had a large bear box and large, level picnic table. Deer and a funny marmot wandered into our camp. Situated between the road and Pine Creek, I was worried about road noise but the only noises we heard were birds and sounds of the water flowing over the rocks. The nearby trails were well marked and maintained. I wish I had researched North Fork Big Pine Creek Lake trail better to understand elevation. The lakes and water falls were beautiful. Folks were fishing but not us. It was a great place to hike, see amazing wilderness, and to chill.

Excellent camping spot next to a stream. Firewood available from camp host, no need to bring your own. Camp host/manager was very helpful. Clean restrooms with motion sensor lights was a helpful addition compared to other campsites.

Huge trees that cover! Hosts are wonderful, and the creek is full of fish- def going back next year, great for kids!!

This was a wonderful campground. We had a fairly large clean campsite 🏕 with a bear box for all our stuff. We really loved falling asleep to the sound of the water stream that was strongly flowing.
We really liked the proximity to the trail head.
