Campground itself was quiet. The surrounding neighborhood and communities had trains and highway nearby. Clean bathrooms and showers close to site. No electric or water at site

Great campsite, informative staff. Water available (pull down hose) to fill my little 7-gallon storage tank. Convenient to both East and West beaches.

One of the nicest national forest campgrounds. Very shady and quiet. Well maintained and treated respectfully by visitors.

This is a very nice area with good options for camp sites, clean restroom and shower rooms, friendly staff and easy online registration process. Seeing the actual layout of the individual sites was helpful but not necessary

The campground itself was great. The proximity of the campground to the railroad made for a poor nights sleep. The beaches and the trails were a lot of fun.

Good campsites, not too crowded. Bathroom facilities were a little outdated but large and in good shape.

The campground was a beautiful diamond in the rough. Well kept and family friendly. If I am EVER in the area again, I will definitely be staying here again.

The only reasons we did not rate a 5 star is because of the train and falling tree limbs. There was also some late night very loud campers. We understand the campground can do nothing about the noisy frequent train whistle. Also be aware if you stay in a reserved spot that if you decide to extend your visit it may not be possible. Our family felt safe and comfortable. Would recommend taking children's bicycles if possible. Lakeview beach was our favorite. Definitely recommend Zao Island. Multiple activities to do there. The best putt putt we have ever played.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
