The campground was nice, but showing it's age. The site we were at (47) was not as level as it looked, though we were able to level when at the very top, near the posts. We really enjoyed the Beverly Shores, and reading about the houses. The beaches and visitor centers were great.

I camped at Indiana Dunes National Park for 2 nights. It was my first time here. Proximity to the parks must see places/hikes/beaches was convenient. Park staff was friendly. Non-electric, showers, flushing toilets, picnic tables, potable water, some accessible sites, filtered water bottle refill station by the restrooms. Nice big outdoor dishwashing sink. Some sites are back-in, and some are pull in (as if youre camping along the campground loops road, with less privacy). Many sites were empty. It was quiet. It was a hot summer weekend, with scattered rain/storms. LOTS of gnats. Sites have a lot of tree cover, so you will be in the shade with lots of branches overhead. Previous visitors left garbage in the fire pit, which is not good camper etiquette. Staff should be aware that some non-campers might be showing up to use the showers early in the morning or late in the evening. Perhaps there should be more monitoring of that, as it could be a safety issue. The bathroom sink faucet stays flowing for about 2 seconds which is not long enough. You have to hold it down with one hand while trying to wash the other hand. Needs longer flow. Dogs are allowed on all the trails and most of the beaches.

Campground staff were friendly and helpful. Ranger and volunteer led hike to the top of Mt. Baldy was incredible!

Nice and spacious campsites. Very clean bathrooms! The hosts were very helpful when we found out that reservations had to be done online. (what? a smartphone?)

I loved my stay at Dunewood. I was here during the end of September, so the campground was maybe 2/3 full. The campground is beautiful, quiet, and full of the sound of crickets and frogs. We took the mile and a half walk to the lake edge. The location makes us an outstanding choice for your visit to the national park. Campsites feel very secluded because of all of the trees. Great day!

The campground was very nice with lots of space between sites and a very nice rest room and shower house. The hot shower was especially nice. Staff at the visitor center were very friendly and knowledgeable. The camp host checked in with us to make sure we had all the information we needed. Excellent place to stay and visit!
