Very quiet and peaceful campground. Camp hosts kept an eye on things but were discrete. Restrooms and campsites very clean and well ordered.

The camp sites were nice and big. The one thing that could be improved is the bathhouse needs some serious repair or updating.

Nice location but a bit too much work going on at the campgrounds. Made for some very noisy periods. Since it was the end of season would have been nice if they waited a couple of days when the campground is closed to do this maintenance.

Amy is one of the hardest workers you'll see. Keeps the grounds and the bath house very clean. Appreciate her hard work. Would be good to stress to people that check in is 12:00. Campers coming earlier than that can be in the way of those leaving.

I am so pleased and amazed at Dunewood Campground. Our sites in Mathers Loop had everything we needed...table, firepit, and HOOKS...love the hooks, what a great addition!!!
Our sites were large, beyond well spaced, RAKED, and clean!!! THANK YOU for not being greedy with your space, the distance between sites make your campground exceptionally fantastic.
Also, we loved that you had a dishwashing station at the shower house. I have never had that before and it was very helpful.
The showers and toilets were clean, which is always appreciated.

As usual .... simple, quiet camping. No frills and unwanted activities. This is how we prefer it. We don't NEED electricity, etc. Very clean campground. Well taken care of.

Did a last minute reservation on the app while en route and arrived late. It was easy to locate our spot which was fairly easy to back our 35 foot RV into. The location was nice and wooded so it felt a lot more private than other campgrounds. The facilities were easy to get to but we did not use them. The dump was a plus for us because we didnt realize there would be one. We will definitely stay again some day.

Very clean and well cared for. Sites are shady and well separated. We enjoy walking to dinner at The Ghost and Goblin.

Great experience at the Dunes! Sites had a lot of space between them. The ground was leveled and smooth for tent camping. Bathroom/Shower facilities were a bit old, but serviceable. Only critique was that there was no one to check us in when we arrived, but our site was prepped. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Dunewood. The sites are quite spaced out and well-maintained, and the proximity to the beach is lovely. It is a truly natural setting, and a genuine camping experience despite it being so close to civilization. We had decent cell reception on Verizon and AT&T, about 3 bars of each, and were able to work remotely from here successfully. We didn't use the bathroom facilities as we were in our RV, but they appeared decent and were frequently cleaned. Excellent national park camping experience!

We booked our campsite for one night. Our first time camping with our baby. When we arrived, our campsite was already taken by another camper. The camp hosts put us in a vacant camp host site bc the campground was full. Apparently, it was double booked. Rangers came by to apologize. They were super friendly (also not wearing masks), and later the wonderful camp hosts, who quickly resolved the problem, came to check on us too. I've requested a refund on the website but I have not received a response.Also, the US is still in a full coronavirus pandemic. Campers are not wearing masks in the bathrooms so the risk of catching COVID is high if people are not taking precautions.

We were impressed by the beauty of the natural surroundings and with the cleanliness of the campsite. We did not realize there was no electricity on the sites, but we were able to get by. The showers and toilets were kept clean and were in good working order. We will return at some time in the future.

Having never been here prior, we were unsure what to expect. Traditionally we steer away from camping at campgrounds, but our experience here was very pleasant. We stayed for 3 nights, and were pleased with the location, the park, and how courteous other campers were as well (which is a big plus for us). SUPER easy to check in and check out, no need to go to an office or anything like that. We spent our days at Indiana Dunes beach front, so we weren't at the campground at all during the daytime but at night was great, relaxing, scenic, and we definitely will be returning.
