Office staff/camp host was wonderful. Everything was very easy to set and they provided all necessary info. Sites were well maintained. Did not use the bathhouse facilities so cant comment there

campground is oklevel, big enough sitesspaced okshadeserious mosquito problemcant enjoy area around campsite for all the constant mosquito attacksgenerator policy need revision, 10pm too late, cannot enjoy sounds of nature around site in evening, consider 7pmconsider adding electricity, so generators not neededneed speed humps on campground roads, many cars exceeding speed limit

Nice campground. Sites are spaced so you are not close to your neighbor. Would highly recommend the boat tour with the ranger. It requires a separate fee, but worth it.

We usually stop here on our way back home to Michigan from a few winter months snowbirding in AZ. Always reliably clean and easy to get a spot.

This campground doesn't actually accommodate big rigs like it claims to. We are in a 46ft fifth and really struggled to have enough room to get into the spot as well as get out of the campground. It was lovely & peaceful (minus the raccoons tormenting us in the trees overhead haha) but definitely not big rig friendly. Honestly, it's probably not even friendly for bigger than a 30foot. Lesson learned to not assume that the website or the site map is accurate.

No electricity. Beach in poor condition. Nuclear plant beside beech. Junky houses in park or beside it as park is little pieces.

Some of the conditions at the sites could use a little upkeep. Posts missing reflectors are hard to see while backing in.

Awesome hosts, dump utilities, and greenery.... terrible poison ivy and sumac everywhere! I could not find one square foot without it outside our site and road.

Well maintained campground. A short drive or long walk to the lake.

A bit difficult to get there without a car. But the campground is really nice with lots of trees and green around. Bathrooms are clean. My activity-recommendation is to go to one of the beaches in the state park and to hike around on one of the trails there.

Its great that its right next to the water, however the sites are far too close to each other and there is little foliage. Not private at all.

Nice and quiet campground. My only complaint is that a few of the park employees tell you not to park on the grass at all, but the drive for the site is not long enough for the rv and your vehicle.

Absolutely beautiful! The campsites are great and relatively private. There were showers on-site which is a great perk for NPS campgrounds. We would definitely stay here again!

excellent campground. Seems we were there before the busy season started so it was minimally staffed and very quiet. Really enjoyed the stay.

Very nice park with great rangers. Difficult to choose appropriate site on reservation page as descriptions seemed off.

The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, but when I needed a propane tank refilled, they had no suggestion as to where I could go for propane refills. I did an hour and a half of research and found that the local Kabelin Ace Hardware refills propane tanks. I let them know for future reference.

Wonderfully located campground with excellent facilities. The showers were the best of all the parks we visited during our trip. The location was close to Lake Michigan, and we especially enjoyed having a store and very nice restaurant within 10-minute walk.
@JohnO853 · Camped on Jul 27, 2021 at Campsite #4
Campsite was very level and plenty of space between sites. Lots of trees and shade everywhere. Only real complaint was the Dump site was not cleared of plants & foliage near where vehicles pull up. With Poison Ivy and Tic season this was not a pleasant situation... Bathrooms & Showers were ok... We were here in August during a very humid week so without a/c it was a challenge. Indiana Dunes is spread out but this site was a reasonable distance from trails, visitor center and shopping/restaurants off of I94.

Two campers near me ran generators later than the allowable time.
@DaveP297 · Camped on May 23, 2021 at Campsite #4
We enjoyed our stay. We had concerns about low hanging branches over the campground Roads, we expressed our concerns to a park ranger and camp host, but no action was taken. People's expensive RVs tend to get ringed by low hanging branches.
