Fine campground especially for a stop over. Clean restrooms with showers. Sites are big. No hookups. Just wish it was closer to water and visitor center.

Very disappointed with the poor condition of the campsite and of the shower rooms

Great campground. The sites are well spaced and have good privacy. Bathroom and showers are cleaned daily. Very quiet. Heavily wooded, so lots of shade but not much sun. Mosquitos can be intense. Have stayed here multiple times, and have not had a bad experience yet.

Bring your noise-cancelling earbuds or ear plugs as the noise from the highways and constant trains is loud. Go buy the outdoor fogger insect spray at Home Depot and use a whole can of it at your campsite. Best $10 youll ever spend. The bugs are so bad here. The restroom and showers are nice, though. The sites are widely spaced out in the woods.

semi-private site, quiet campground with very clean restrooms. A wash station and filtered water is available and close to the beach and amenities.

It was a short trip but we really enjoyed it. Good facilities and clean washrooms and showers. No electric hook-up sites is a minus but otherwise a nice campground.

We loved this campground! Its beautifully set-up with lots of tree coverage. The bathrooms were clean by campground standards and the showers had good water pressure and hot water! We did end up leaving one night early due to incoming bad weather, and the mosquitos were INSANE, so be prepared for that in the summer.

The campground was very clean and peaceful, even though it was full; the bathroom and wash facilities were excellent! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Nicely laid out camp sites where a tent is at home as an RVClean, well lit restrooms and showers.

It was a great site; clean and completely under the shade. Big plus, it has a nice shower wich has hot water. My only issue was the distance of campground from the main parts of the park.

Loved camping here so much. The sites are well sized and spread out, and the bathroom and shower accommodations are top notch. So nice to have a private and hot shower. Definitely will visit again.

This was our over flow site to not exceed the occupancy limits. Very pretty.

Great place, only complaint is that they always cleaned (and closed) the restroom/shower area first thing in the morning,, just when you need it, maybe they could wait till late morning, it would be more convenient for campers.

We had a great time. On the upside, feels very "away" but is 10-15 minutes from lots of useful grocery stores, Target, etc and very proximate to restaurants. The park staff is wonderful; friendly and knowledgeable, very enthusiastic and available. The natural resources are beyond great and there is a really impressive mix of other things, too, with historic buildings proximate to unbelievable beaches. In many ways, the "newness" of the park as part of NPS really works in its favor in that the crowds are smaller and more local than I imagine they will be moving forward. The only cons, included really more as things to be aware of, not true negatives:The lack of clear signage and wayfinding makes this park a true navigational challenge. As in, we only got to do a small percentage of what we wanted because we simply couldn't find anything (and we are big national and state park users). The campgrounds were also very confusing in markings/numbering. Expect intense bugs/mosquitos in the summer and lots of critters roaming around, so secure food in your vehicle and pack lots of bug spray. Also -- and park staff is really really good about warning people about this -- don't let the term "Lake" fool you. The water here can be very dangerous. Again, the park folks are very upfront about water safety do's and don'ts, which is helpful.
