Enjoyed Kemil beach and the Marsh and Cowles Bog trail. The campground staff was friendly and helpful.

I loved the park and walk camp sites! I felt very at peace being away from the road. There were plenty of places to purchase necessities nearby as well!

Don't let the photos fool you the sites look way better in person. They're all a quick walk from the parking area, with plenty of space and some-what privacy between them, so you can really enjoy yourself. The main area has clean restrooms with showers, which is super convenient. Plus, Hobgoblin has an awesome drink selection, and Jannsens Dunes Mart has all the basics in case you need to grab anything you left behind.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our walk in site at the campground and the location so close to Michigan Lake was perfect.

Great location, not too noisy or busy. Plenty of room to set up and not too far from bathrooms. Decent walk if you're bringing in wood, so best to bring in only what you need.

I said I was going to tent camp. I did not say that I wanted to hike all my stuff to the campsite, but that was where the software placed me without describing it as a hike in site. Very disappointing when knowing that I could have camped in any site in the park without the inconvenience of the hike.

Everything about the facility and camp host was top notch, so no issues whatsoever. The clean and warm bathrooms were a welcome treat for my 10 year old daughter's first camping trip. Perhaps when the leaves come in on the trees they will help block some of the nearby road noise, but probably won't do much to combat the occasional train horn. That was all exactly as I expected from other comments and viewing the map of the surrounding area, so no complaint there at all. We'll definitely be returning!

Pretty place. Convenient. Walk-in campsites are great. Campground hosts were great.

The campsite was beautiful, easy to get to, and plenty of space between campsites. I really appreciated having water outdoor sink near the restrooms, as well as fresh pump water. However, this was the noisiest camping I have experienced in my entire life. Really horrible! Helicopters, trains, and traffic all night long.
I enjoyed hanging in my hammock in the morning, didn’t notice the noise as much.
I was there Monday afternoon and the convenience store at the entrance to the campground was closed. They had lots of firewood to sell, but apparently didn’t open Mondays or Tuesdays. The gas station in mile down the road had firewood, but the pieces were large and not quite seasoned. Glad I brought my hatchet!

Beautiful tent site. There was a creek right behind it. The bathrooms were perfect and clean. The host was very sweet.

Dunewood campground was fantastic! The short hike in to our tent campsite provided us with a lot of privacy, away from vehicles. It was the perfect camping experience. Very clean, quiet, everyone was very respectful.
