Beautiful views and nice amenities. The bugs were unbearable and did not care about bug spray at all.

Tried to get a last minute site as we were passing through. No staff available on the phone or on site. Got a walkin in one and just parked our van in the parking lot and slept there. When the host came around. They informed us we also had to buy a park pass on top of our camping fee... overall we paid 50usd to park in a parking lot and have a shower.

Wow! Such a wonderful campground. The showers were HOT and the campground was very well taken care of. We chose to do a walk in tent site. The only thing that I would say is the sites are pretty close together. Other than that it's great. The gas station down the road has soft serve and the beach is beautiful!

Great campground. Very clean. Bathroom, showers, and kitchen sink - all have plenty of hot water. Not our first stay and definitely not the last.

The campground is clean, the camp sites are far enough from others to provide some privacy. Bathroom/showers are clean. I will camp here again

I liked the showers. The walk-in wasn't too bad. The park was great.

A nice private site. No issues walking in and close to well kept restrooms.

I enjoyed our stay at Dunewood. The washroom facilities were top notch. The walk in sites were straightforward. The site we chose landed at about the same height as the parking lot, which was nice for loading in, but did increase the perception of noise pollution. Most of the rest of the loop looked like it was tucked into the ground a bit better and maybe would've dulled the trains a bit more. It was too rainy and windy for us to pitch hammocks for lazy afternoons, but the trees were perfect for tying up a tarp to keep us and our stuff dry.If you're looking for firewood and booze, head westward. Pat's Liquor Store was super stocked with a huge variety of craft beers - we tried one from Michigan City and it tasted like a sour and shandy had a baby (and it had aliens on it). On our way there I spotted a plot of land that said 'free wood, you cut, you carry out', so we went back the next day to load up. (def bring a saw and/or hatchet, its on the n/s street that leads to Pat's from the north)

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Hiking opportunities close by, an excellent restaurant lose to the entrance to the campground and my fellow campers were friendly & observed COVID precautions. Hope to return soon, itd be fun to do the Century of Progress Homes tour sometime.

Dunewood Campground was a great spot to camp for the night while visiting Indiana Dunes National Park. The facilities were clean and easily accessible from the walk-in sites, yet our campsite felt surprisingly private along the winding path through the forest. I would highly recommend this spot to those trying to get out and enjoy nature only a short drive from Lake Michigan!
