We enjoyed the beach right down the road! Close to gas stations, a few towns, stores, and trails. We were able to do laundry at a laundromat about 10 minutes away and get groceries in the same spot. The campground itself was quiet and tucked away, which was nice, and there were nice showers, but the driveways were very small and hard to accommodate our pop-up camper and car, and a little less private than we would have liked. We didnt have a great experience with the staff either, so we spent most of our time away from camp and only came back to sleep.

My only regret is that I wish I could have stayed longer! Beautiful and easily accessible camp sites, close vicinity to hiking/activities, ranger programs, clean facilities. Highly recommend

Nice campground I like it. My only concern is the train horn. Train honks after midnight sometimes, I dont know why? Close to beach calm place

Lovely campground with well-spaced sites and clean bath house. Near (but not inside) Indiana Dunes National Park.

Our experience would have been improved if we had electricity. We are able to dry camp in our RV, but must run the generator for some things. We felt badly for other campers by doing this. We left after one night with 2 nights of reservations.

The campsite was level, clean, with enough space for a little privacy. I just truly enjoyed my stay there.

We were pleasantly surprised by our time at Dunewood Campground. The sites are large and private with lots of mature trees surrounding each campsite. We did some of the hikes that were nearby. We plan on returning so we can try more hikes and bike on the trails. The staff was wonderfully informative at the visitors center and we enjoyed watching the movie and seeing the exhibits.

A lovely little campground a little away from the bustle in the state park campground. Definitely best for smaller campers and tents.

This campground was beautiful. Lots of trees for privacy and shade. Fantastic bathrooms that were maintained and clean, showers. We did battle a lot of mosquitos here, more than I've ever seen before, but it had been a rainy week so maybe it's not normally so bad. It's a hike to the beach, which I wasn't expecting, so just be aware. But overall a lovely campground.

The facility was clean and the other campers were waivers, chatters and smilers. The local police were very friendly and helpful to me also.

This is my second stay this year. Very clean camp, facilities are nice. The camp staff quietly checked lots for cleanliness and screened for squatters. The place is pretty quiet. I will definitely visit again.

Love this campground, wish it had kept a few 1st come 1st serve sites, and wish it would not allow generators running all day. But I guess camper etiquette is a thing of the past.
