The sites were spaced out and screened by trees. The tent pad was level and spacious. The bath house was clean and had a bottle filling station as well as a sink to wash dishes. We enjoyed our stay in this peaceful campground.

It would be so nice if you manned your check in location. No one around the whole time we were there. No reservation on the post at our site. I guess if there was a problem I could have found my reservation on my phone?

The campground was very clean and Google Maps took me right to the location. The bathrooms were clean and shower rooms were individual with a lock and those were nice as well. Only issue was the trains that go by in the night kept waking us up in our tent, but earplugs or a hard-side camper would have solved that problem. Closer than I thought to Lake Michigan which made visiting the lake easier. Beware of racoons as one got in our left out stuff and we had to clean up in the middle of the night. Overall it was great and I would stay here again.

Restrooms clean and orderly. Late in season so pretty much empty.

This was a beautiful campground, I only wish we had more time there. The campsites are fairly private with trees in between. The bathrooms were clean. It is so close to so much to do in the park! What an incredibly beautiful and unique area!

It was confusing at first but once we found our camp site someone came by to verify and then answered all of our questions. All of our neighbors were so kind and kept to themselves. It was a great experience

The campground is convenient to Indiana Dunes and is well maintained. It even has showers -- something not found in many national park campgrounds -- and they were nice and clean. The campground was quiet -- except there is a rail line near with frequent train horns. I'd stay there again.

We love it here - it's a spacious campground so you are not hearing the noise of generators. There are wheelchair accessible sites. It is very beautiful and relaxing here. It's only a mile away from the beach and there are walking trails to the beach. There are hot showers as well!

The area was beautiful; a lot of hiking trails in the area and very close to the beach. Fire pit with grate was very convenient. The area was well-kept. We were very pleased with the restrooms as well! They were clean and heated. We will be going back and would highly recommend!

Very nice campground. Decently clean bathrooms - not perfect but what campground is? Individual shower stalls are great but again, could be a little cleaner and more dry space to put your stuff. The site I had was clean and flat - #17 - close to the bathrooms but not too close. The tent area was sand, I think the picnic table area was too but I can't remember. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit with grill. The sites are space apart nicely, definitely not secluded but you're not on top of each other. With the trees and brush it feels like you have some space to yourself. You can hear traffic from a highway close by at night. I went in mid-September 2019 and water was not available at the spouts. Easy to find campground and a short drive to the beaches and some trails. There's a restaurant (looked fancy), wine/alcohol shop, general store, and gas station by the entrance to the campground. Free fire wood along the road when I drove and also available at the general store for $5. I enjoyed Kemil beach. It's a little bit of a walk from the parking lot (1/4 mile I think) and no bathrooms at the beach but beautiful and clean. There are bathrooms and picnic tables at the parking lot. Quite a few spots but they'll go fast on busy days. There are also a couple trails off the parking lot. You can't see the beach from the parking lot so I drove down the road to Lake View Beach and Picnic area for lunch. It was very clean and lots of picnic tables with a nice view. There are a few access parking lots and access points to the beach along the road.Portage Lakefront and Riverwalk was OK. It was nice to walk out onto the breakwater and take in the view. I didn't go down to the beach, it was a very steep walk and didn't look safe. Maybe there was another way down I didn't see. It'll look like you're lost in a weird industrial part of town but it's there. Picnic tables and a trail are available.Make sure to stop by the information center!
