We stayed here twice and both times were good the showers are pretty nice the bathrooms were nice and the sites are nice but I dont feel like we had very much seclusion but thats ok the price wasnt bad but one thing I didnt know is you need to have a recreation pass to stay here so that was another 25 dollars I didnt know I would need to spend when I arrived

This campground has nice large sites, so your are spread out a bit more than usual. Flush toilets and showers are well maintained. Dump station and fresh drinking water are available on just inside the campground. There is quite a bit of road noise from Rt20 and the railroad, so don't expect a serene wilderness experience. Campground in general is well maintained and camp host does an excellent job keeping the place nice.

While the campground location was great for accessing the park it had a few issues. 1. It was right near the train tracks so if youre sleeping in a tent, you hear that all night long and all through the day. The trains do sound their horn whether its night or day too.2. The bathrooms were not clean, especially in the shower area. That was disgusting.3. And lastly, may not matter, but if you need to stake a tent, the pads were so hard that it made driving the mistakes in difficult. Pros1. Great location for Park activities.2. The host were really nice.3. The campsite were clean and for the most part other than the trains, the campground was pretty quiet and well shaded.

The actual camp site was nice enough, however the sites were too close to each other with little privacy. My site was right next to the road, so car noise and neighbors were problematic. Lots of garbage and recycling areas, but drinking water fill ups were hard to find. Sign in was problematic. There was no one in the office when I arrived in the morning and I was visited twice by employees that didn't seem to keep track that I had checked in.

lovely campground. It is far from Parking (it was #2). It did not affect us but may make things difficult for others.

My entire family adores camping at Dunewood campground. The sites are so well tended, and they are nicely spaced around quiet loops. The bathroom facilities are clean and well lit, and the campsite hosts are friendly and helpful!

Please fix the broken water spout in the Mather Loop Campground. It was a lot of fun. Thanks

Camp sites were clean, generous in size, and spaced well away from each other. Rest rooms were clean and well maintained. Very enjoyable stay, will stay here again.

Campground and facilities are very well maintained! Although one can drive or take an enjoyable long walk to Lake Michigan, tourists should know that the shoreline closest to Dunewood is rocky. The sand beaches are further away.

This was my first time camping at a national park and I was so impressed. The campsites were gorgeous. Clean, quiet, private. The facilities were wonderful, couldn't believe how hot the showers were. Really loved this place, already trying to figure out when I can return.

Im gonna stay here again , this campground had everything that I needed , I got to enjoy the out doors, fishing, hiking and still had a hot shower everyday. Love to be able to camp out doors but also close enough , I was able to enjoy little excursions to a brewery, winery and the beach ;)

This campground is conveniently located to the various Indiana Sand dunes points of interest. For RV'rs it has a dump station and fresh water supply hose at one end of the park but there are no site hook-ups so you'll need to come with the fresh water tank full and your waste tanks empty. Overall, the campsites are spaced comfortably so you're not on top of your neighbors. The parking area of each site is paved, fairly close to being level, the fire pits cleaned and campsites raked between visitors. The camp hosts during our stay were incredibly polite and helpful with offering information about any of the locations located in or around the park.

The campground was perfect for tent camping. Primitive sites no power, great fire pit, picnic tables provided. The only drawback was the showers were not warm at all. Great for a short stay if I had an extended stay I would say somewhere where I could shower. I could not use the showers at all.

Campground host was very friendly and knowledgeable. Bathrooms where clean. Sites are large and spaced apart. About 1.5 miles to lake Michigan.

It was a pleasant stay with beautiful surroundings. The campsites are spacious. The firewood we bought from a local was wet, so we couldn't get a fire going very well.
