What made it an excellent experience: large, flat, clean campsite with lots of trees for privacy; the fire pit and grill in great shape, as well as the picnic table; close to clean, warm restrooms; very respectful neighbors

Bathroom and shower clean with plenty of hot water. love the sink outside for washing up your dishes. spots are big and not packed next to your neighbors.

Nice quiet campground. Attendant at checkin was very helpful and nice to talk to. Great place to stay to see the dunes.

My wife and I stopped at "the Dunes" on our way through from Gettysburg, PA area to Mason City Iowa. We're working on seeing all the National Parks over the next however many years.Dunewood was great... helpful staff, clean and well-kept sites with clean bath & shower facilities. Saw some excellent highlights of what the park has to offer. If we get the oppotunity again, we'll stop in again to see more of what we missed.

We had a great campsite surrounded by trees and very clean. The bathrooms were well kept up and we enjoyed our night under the stars. The dunes were beautiful!

It had nothing to do with the campground it was just pouring rain thundering and lightning and I never got out of my rig. I was supposed to stay two nights but only stayed one. The next morning I did drive down to the beach and got out and took a few pictures I think it would be beautiful is the weather nice I have no idea where the dunes were

Great site. Clean, well kept, and spaced enough for privacy. Mature trees on the lot for shade but sparse enough to allow nice views of the evening sky. Would have no hesitation staying here if in the area again.

I absolutely loved staying at this campground. This was my first time pitching a tent, and it was a solo trip. It is well maintained and the bathrooms and showers were very clean and well stocked. It feels far away but is close to a convenience store, and a cute little beach shop. I rode a bike I rented from the beach shop, from the campground to the beach at Lake Michigan. It’s a great location and I absolutely am going to be staying here again.

Great campground for couples camping and families. The bathrooms were well maintained and we appreciated the camp sink next to the bathrooms for doing dishes. Most of the other campers respected quiet hours and taking care of their trash.
