Once you make it here, it's amazing. It's a very steep trip up the mountain and then down the other side! If you're coming from the North, it's easier to go through Moscow and Elk to get here. We took this road home, and it was so much easier on the breaks and the trailer. The bathrooms here are spotless and smell very clean. The camp volunteers are friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was the fire rings are so close to the trailers. We had to put the awning in, and the side of the trailer did get hot to the touch. If you enjoy boating or fishing this is the place. This campground is great if you intend to stay the duration of your trip. We had to drive back and forth to Orofino daily for baseball, which was about 40 minutes one way. We will be coming back to this location for sure.

Impressive improvements to the camp site parking areas, very nice! Always LOVE camping at Dent and boating in the reservoir! The help in the parking areas on the busy weekend was great!

The park is very nice and well kept, easy to get into the spaces and the staff is friendly. Space was cleaned before we got there, bathrooms are very nice. The dock is just a short distance down the hill with good parking and easy to launch a boat. There are a few slips for guest to keep their boat in the water but most pull them out overnight. We kept ours at the camp site as we were tenting. A nice field and playground is at the base of the camp sites. Our only complaint was the drive in coming down from Elk River, about 20 miles of gravel and dirt road. I think it is paved going south toward Orofino.

The new asphalt made the camping spots and roads much nicer. Boat trailer parking is still an issue when it is really busy.

We had a good site, spent two weeks camping and fishing, we do this every year. We look forward to our time spent at Dent!

We have been camping at Dent Acres for two weeks, twice a year for over five years, we love it! Over the years we have had our kids join us, now our grand kids join us, ages 2-22, there is something for everyone. They have a great playground for the younger kids, a boat ramp if you go skiing, fishing, or just relaxing on the water. If you like to go 4 wheeling, there is miles and miles of trails for dirt bikes, quads, and side by sides. Elk river is 20 miles away by dirt road if you get a sweet tooth for ice cream, or if you need supplies, the city of Orofino is within driving distance. As for the campground itself, it is wonderful. The RV spaces are full hook ups with plenty of room to pitch a tent or three. The volunteer staff are great, friendly and helpful. Ed and Kirk (this years volunteers) were awesome. The restroom/showers are always clean and stocked. Dent Acres is very family friendly, I have nothing bad to say about it. We are looking forward to our next two week visit in September! I give it five out of five thumps up .

Everything was great...except there needs to be a garbage bin in the camping area! There is what appears to be a pad right by the restrooms. Its very inconvenient to have to go to the boat launch.Thanks for asking.

Great place to camp and the personal we're helpful and super friendly. Spot 11 is a bit tight for a 30" camper so make sure and call if you got a larger camper.

There could be a path from the upper campsites to the bathrooms. We dont like walking through peoples sites so its quite a walk snaking around on the roads. Also another trash receptacle near the campsites instead of just the one all the way down by the boat launch would be helpful. The only viable option is to drive down there which means you have to plan ahead before you leave or drag your trailer all the way down there. We appreciated how clean and well kept the sites were.

Campground is awesome, fishing was great. Brand new pavement everywhere, docks were nice. Everything great except the rec.gov reservation site is misleading in how it works. ABSOLUTELY read your receipt after making reservations. It seemed clear to me that I had reserved 2 FULL days there but I came back to my camper after the second day of fishing out on the lake to find a legitimate state ticket on my window saying I refused to vacate the space by noon. And a fine for over $100. After looking over my receipt it was clear I had only reserved one day. The problem is when you go to the website and choose the days you want to stay, it blacks out those days, implying that you now have them reserved. But what it is doing is blacking out the day you are arriving and the day you are leaving. So if you choose Sat and Sunday it will black them BOTH out. But all you really did is say you want to ARRIVE on Sat and leave Sunday at noon, I guess. This was clear on the receipt I was emailed but not when I made reservations. Maybe just dumb old me, but Ill but Im not the first or last. In fact I know Im not. I had someone in my camp spot a few years ago at Chief Timothy and as it turned out the guy in it also thought he had reserved 2 days not one overnight stay. So be clear, read the receipt and then enjoy your stay. Ill be back for sure, but Ill get it right.

Although the weather didnt cooperate, our campsite was very nice. The staff we met were very friendly and welcoming. The host even offered to take our trash to the dumpster for us as we were packing up.Will stay again.

We had a great experience at Dent Acres campground. The sites were well-maintained, and we really appreciated the covered picnic tables. It was also nice to see that everyone was respectful and kept the noise levels down. One suggestion for improvement would be to clearly indicate on the website that firewood is not available for sale at the campground. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to returning next year!

At a cost of $150 per night, there should be a place to dispose of garbage closer than 4 miles away. Putting garbage in vehicles every night so the critters don't spread it around camp is not acceptable. The closest place to dispose garbage is located at the near the end of the Dent Acres boat Ramp, a slow 8 mile, 25 minute drive round trip. Hint: Assign one person in the group to be in charge of the garbage.

30 amp breaker was broken and was not operable. The 20 amp breaker kept tripping when using electrical devices. This was discovered late afternoon Friday so nothing could be done over the weekend to fix the issue.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
