Lovely campground on the Priest River. Very clean and looks recent. Camp host Mark was friendly and helpful. I was in #12 that backs right up to the river. A dock is about 50 away where I launched my SUP. That section of the river is a slow zone, so no boat noise. Beautiful sunset views. I would definitely camp here again.

Site 12 was the best. Its near the playground which if you have young kids its perfect, while also having a beautiful view of the river. Also close walking distance to bathrooms and the waterfront. Our time there was great!

Had a great time. Our site was right off the water with a beautiful view. We were right next to the playground which was great because we had young kids that could play while we could see them from our site. There was a lot of foot traffic past our site as campers must pass it on their way to the playground or beach but we didn’t mind. The camp hosts were so friendly and even had little treats for the kids. We will definitely be back

Located on the edge of Priest River, Idaho, the Priest River campground, a.k.a. the mudhole is a true gem. It not only has the best facilities of any economically priced campground I know of in this area, but it has, by far, the finest, most professional camp hosts Ive ever known of. It is located right on Priest River so fishing is super convenient. They also have a swim beach and boat launch. We are looking forward to camping there again next weekend!

We always have an excellent experience at Priest River the mud hole campground in Priest River, Idaho. Its an excellent spot with excellent facilities and a beyond excellent camp host team. This type of service is unheard of nowadays and yet we hear of it. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. These people really have their heart in it.

Excellent Campground! Great facilities with the best camp hosts in existence. An accurate review of this place would seem unbelievable until you had been here a time or two. You have to experience this to believe it!

We have spent a lot of time in this campground. over the years. This trip was the least favorite time we ever had. The campground host were ridiculous with there efforts to try and keep us off the river. We were harassed by them daily, and the rangers telling us how the river was closed, due to high water volumes. After checking with the Sheriff Office I found out that the river was not closed. The campground launch was closed, no problem there as we had kayaks and could launch anywhere. I have vast experience in moving water and know when water is a danger and when it is not. Even people using the beach were harassed when their children were up to there ankles in water, no where were there signs saying beach closed or no swimming. This was excessive by any strech of the imagination. Other than that it was fine.

We love to camp here. They welcome our dogs which is the most important thing to us. They have an area for my dogs to cool off without being in the public swimming area. The river is beautiful. We enjoy the people, everyone is friendly. They keep the areas clean, also important to us. We come back year after year.

We enjoyed the camp ground immensely this year. Sites were clean and the camp host friendly.We always look forward to camping at the Mudhole.
