I had a very nice experience camping at Reeder Bay. However, I was not in a fancy RV or trailer. I camped with my backpacking tent. It was REAL camping. It was very cold on the morning of Sept. 16th. I made coffee on my backpacking stove on the picnic table and warmed my hands up. I even went swimming on September 15th! I was probably the only person swimming. And I am 77 years old! I wanted to talk to the campground host but they were not on duty. However, I did talk to them the next day. I love camping at Reeder Bay. Every year I come for a day or two. I enjoyed talking to several of the people camping there. One of them showed me inside their new camper. The people are friendly to talk to. Next year I will come not later then the week after Labor Day. It gets too cold in the early morning. I took lovely photos of the lake at 7 a.m.
