Mike and his lovely wife, who keeps the outhouse REALLY CLEAN, are amazingly wonderful people and hosts. Mike greeted us with kindness and continued to help us out when we needed it. He made a point of making sure we had what we needed and that we were all having a good time. He also was sweet and said goodbye to us and wished to see us again next year. Beautiful site, clean, short walk to the amazing lake. My students loved camping in the woods by the creek, the fire pit for making smores, telling stories, and star gazing. Thank you Mike for a wonderful trip!

The camp host appeared to be watching for things to be critical of, he came to complain about the fire within 10min of us lighting it and the fire was within the ring and well shaped and then he complained about us bringing wood over that was too big for home to remove if we didnt burn it so we put it back in the woods but he mentioned it again to my son and his wife and called us in Christian.

Very quiet campground. Limited cell service. We could get service at the beach only. Heavy to moderately treed. Roads and campsites are paved. Outhouse toilets were kept clean although a few a quite dated. May need to look at replacing/upgrading. Camp hosts were excellent. Easy access to portage and hiking/biking trail to upper priest lake and thoroughfare. Beach is nice but a bit on the rocky side. Beach was free of garbage. Despite the signs that say no dogs allowed there were 5 to 6 dogs each day we were there. No issues just a note that the signage/rule doesn't always match the reality. Boat launch is tough. Very tight last turn. My ford crew cab long bed towing two sitdown jetskis could not make the last turn without backing up and tightening the angle to negotiate the 180 turn. Boat ramp is rock and sand and a decent grade. highly recommend 4wd for retrieving boat/jetskis. Reservations have been tight. We encountered two people that showed up for reservations only to have someone else in there sites. we actually had a motorhome stay with us one night due to someone was in their reserved site and they were unable to reach anyone to assist.
