The camp site was beautiful!! The downside is that everyone thinks they can pull into your campsite and hang out. We even had people park their vehicles and walk right down the steps. Its clearly marked as a campsite, people just have no respect. When we first pulled up there was a vehicle there and my husband told them it was our site we paid for. They got back in their vehicles and peeled out aggressively.

Nice site, easy trailer set up. Be aware the stairs down to the river is a public access site. Be ready to have a bunch of people stop and hang out right next to your site!

Had a great time, tent camping along the AuSable Rive in November was fun. The third day had 4 inches of snow, just beautiful.

Nice, secluded location. River view, no access

We have been coming here six years in a row. The site is excellent, very large and has staircase leading down to the river. You will get the occasional dirtbike or 4x4 since the site entrance is directly off an ORV trail, but they usually do not stop to bother. Some locals will come by and use the stair access to fish or launch kyaks but we've never had an issue. Will be coming back next year!

It is a really nice site with some good shade and a decent view. The only drawback is the site isn't quite private. There's a bit of traffic driving through the circle, and a lot of people seem to think the site is a public access to the river. Regardless, I would camp this site again.

We always love coming up here to camp! The river and the scenery is great. Be warned that the ticks and mosquitos are no joke! We were a little disappointed with the dirt bikers and side by siders that decided to just come into our site 11D because "they needed a break", when it was obvious we were camped right there! But that is nothing that reflects on the park, just on rude people!

Weve been camping here for the last 3 years and have always had a great time. The people in Glennie are always so welcoming and friendly. The camp is always clean and of course has the most beautiful views. We will continue to camp here as much as possible. Definitely a piece of heaven on earth.

We stayed at site 11D (a.k.a.Stairway to Heaven). We love this site as it has a horseshoe driveway which makes it easy to get our truck and trailer through. Its right on ORV trail 96 so you can hit the trails right from the site. There are stairs/trail to the river from the site with a stream that runs across part of the trail. Beautiful views of the Ausable River and minutes away from the dam where you can launch canoe/kayak/tubes. The trip from the dam back to the campsite takes about 1 hour without stops. Bobcat Creek is a stop along the way. Love primitive camping on the Ausable River!!
