very nice campground in a beautiful setting. Camp sites were well spaced out. Rest rooms very clean. Enjoyed our stay.

This is a gorgeous campground. I visited, towing my 13’ travel trailer, accompanied by my daughter who stayed in a tent. We reserved our site and settled in quickly. The pit toilet was clean, and fresh water was available. The view from the site was glorious, and we had a lovely walk. We visited in early June and the temperature was mild. There is no shade on the majority of the sites, so summer camping might be brutal. Sites 17 & 18 are in the trees a bit, so may provide some shade. I highly recommend this campground.

We were surprised by this gem of a campground. We were expecting it to be more desert-like. The campground was on a mountain (the top of the mountain had snow in July). There was quite a bit of Aspen trees and greenery for being in the desert. The campground was clean. It happened to be the weekend, which there was a group of people partying until the early morning hours the first night playing music and the second night those same people continued but not as late followed with cursing at one another in a disagreement about how their camping should be. Definitely not the fault of the campground but definitely made our stay slightly less enjoyable. There was another campground up the mountain which also had a day use area for Angel Lake. There is a parking fee for the day use which is probably to maintain the bathrooms there. Angel Lake is a must see if you are staying at one of these campgrounds. Also if you hike to the left of the lake and follow the trail to the far end of the lake there is a little waterfall that feeds the lake. It’s a fairly short hike there. Follow the trail closest to the lake that crosses the creek and follow that creek trail to the waterfall. We ended up hiking out a bag of trash from the far side of the lake, which is sad that people don’t try to keep it more clean with how pristine the water is. I wish people were more respectful. It’s not difficult to pack out your trash. Anyhow, lots of trout could be seen swimming along the shoreline and tons of people were fishing. So if you enjoy fishing for trout you should stop by to try your luck. We would definitely make that our stopping point again when we go back to visit ID/MT areas.

I used this campground as a backup to the Angel Lake campground. It was fine. Easy access and everything I expected.
