Gulpha Gorge is a beautiful campground. Very quiet for the number of campers. Our campsite (#24) was steep and narrow. Auto-level failed due to the height of the trailer nose. Site so narrow that the steps had to have a cement block under them. Was difficult for our handicapped friends to visit and wife twisted an ankle. Neighbors couldnt open their awnings without hitting our rv. Camp Hosts were great and helpful.

Nice Campground overall. Nice that there are sewer connections at each site. Only comments would be that some of the sites are not very level. Causing folks to have to do a lot of work to Level their camper.Second bigger complaint is that the bathhouse only has one shower. For that many sites thats way too few. Not sure what you were thinking there?

Easily one of our favorite campgrounds close to home. Great location just far enough out of town to not hear the bustle, but close enough it only takes minutes to get downtown to bathhouse row. And every hiking trail around mountain tower is accessible from the campground trailhead.

Had a great time at this campsite! It's a little steeper than I thought, but easy enough to get into. Bathroom was not far at all for those without toilets in their RVs. I didn't think the road noise was loud, but I can see how the loop closest to the road would be not good for tent campers. Everyone was respectful and super nice! Site 24 was great!

We enjoyed access to the hiking trails from the campground. The campground was quiet (except for the dump trucks which only operate during the day). Staff were helpful during check-in. Hot Springs is a short drive away. We would definitely return to this campground should we decide to come visit the park again.

I am dismayed at the amount of unoccupied campsite which are marked as "Reserved". I think there should be a penalty for reserving a campsite and not showing up, or conversely a reward system for canceling your reservation so others may use the site. With limited campsites and a limited refund policy, the Parks Service is encouraging campers to not cancel reservations. The reservation system is all computers, as noted on your 1-800 number, so it seems simple to offer a full refund, if cancelled the morning of the reservation, which would open up sites the day of. Otherwise people know they have the site, but aren't going to use it and have lost the money, therefore no incentive to cancel. Something to think about.

Campsite #24. This site was so small that my slideout bed was infringing on the site behind us. It was very unlevel too. The fact that the site had septic was the reason that I didn't give this site a poor rating.

The campground has rats. I observed a park employee free a rat from a trash can and the rat immediately ran to an adjacent RV.

Site #24 has no fire circle and rocks in the only place for a tent. The site is to small to get any high stars. The closest bathroom was no working.

The campsites are a little close together, which means it can get a little loud, but the location is ideal. The hosts were excellent and the campground is well maintained. There is also great access to hiking trails and the historic bathhouse row.

The campground is not scenery and very crowded. The camp host is not very helpful and not friendly at all. I ended up canceling the reservation. I did not camp there.

Great park and a fine campground. Take the wind warnings seriously. My tent was destroyed in ~50mph winds while I was hiking in early November, had to leave early.Hiked the less traveled Hunter Peak side and came across only a half dozen others. Beautiful hike.

Beautiful campground. Thoroughly enjoyed the hiking trails. We hiked to town and visited the bath houses, the water feels wonderful and tastes amazing. (We were given chilled water from the springs) We went up in the tower to soak up the beautiful panoramic views of city. Up the mountain to a park and watched the sunset. Visited the Little Rock (not too far away) Historical Museum, a must see. Beautiful exhibit educating people about the Indigenous people who lived there. Definitely coming back, also full hookups Ten out of ten recommend
