We really enjoyed Gulpha Gorge. It looked like most (if not all) sites had full hookups. The fire ring was well kept. The park service had recently taken down some trees and left the wood for camper use (bring a splitting maul though). 3 of 4 of the access roads are pretty tight and there are culverts on both sides of site 12 (and several others) so I was glad our trailer wasn't over 25 ft. We watched others struggle with their 30+ ft travel trailers. We were thankful for the warning on the site's page about 'extreme slope' and made sure to have blocks for extra height for the tongue jack and front stabilizers. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

If you have an RV with a slide/slides and the new fold down steps try to see pictures of the camp sight before selecting one. Almost all the spots are narrow pavement with the drop offs of up to 4 inches at the edge of the paved area. Many have trees fairly close to the pavement which will interfere with your slide. On top of that most of the rv spots are NOT very level so bring plenty of leveling blocks to be able to get your RV level.

Very nice campground. Grounds are well-kept. Close to Bathhouse Row and all Hot Springs has to offer while still feeling secluded.

This is a small campground with decent amenities. Im not sure its really designed for tents, but people made it work. It seems to attract more RVs and travel trailers, which is how we stayed here. Not a lot of trees or space between sites but it was fine. Fair amount of road noise, but the creek nearby and trails (some which go into downtown Hot Springs) are a good trade off. You need a car if you stay here, as there is nothing walkable aside from the somewhat strenuous hike into the city center. It would be awesome if the park system had a shuttle a couple of times a day from this campground to downtown.

We had a two night stay at Gulpha Gorge in late February. We took a hike up the trail to the mountaintop loop. The Gulpha Gorge trail was pretty strenuous but the loop was not as bad and there were a lot of nice views. There were lots of people and dogs enjoying the trail while we were there. We did not make reservations at the Hot Springs bath houses so we were not able to get a soak or massage. Camp host Barry was helpful and friendly.

This is a beautiful campground. Lots of shade and a lot of nice level spots. The restrooms were very clean. The hiking trails right from the campground were excellent. We could hike right to the bathhouses for a great soak.

Some of the sites are a little unlevel even though they have new asphalt. It is a very beautiful park! We would definitely come here again but can be hard to get in. I had to make 2 reservations so that we could at least get 3 nights there. So we did have to move sites.

The site was loud, with the highway being right there. I could hear trucks all night. The spaces are extremely close to each other

Campsite was great! Things to note:1. There is little privacy, the sites are close together. As a solo female camper I felt very safe.2. Sites are essentially a slab of concrete with a variable amount of dirt/grass. 3. Not all sites have a fire pit (12 did not). If there isn't a fire pit there is a charcoal grill so you can still cook food. 4. No showers, there is a planet fitness within 15min if you are a black card member you can shower there! 5. Hiking trails at the campground that connects to a network of trails to downtown and observation tower (national parks pass gives you discount, pack it on your bag). Bring a trail map, the worded signs are confusing so comparing the map to the colors on the trees is the best course of action).

Quaint campground, clean bathrooms. Its too bad its so close to the road (its very noisy during the day, but seemed fairly minimal at night during our stay). Loved the access to the creek for water play for the kiddo and the trailhead for some hiking.
