Nice lots with trees for cover. Some camp sites are fairly close together. Shower houses were okay. Running creek behind some of the sites. Overall nice place and would return.

While small, the campground has all the amenities one could need. The shower houses are single user, but very large and clean. They also require a PIN only accessible to campers. Site 16 is VERY steep. We needed up moving to another site due to not feeling comfortable with how the camper sat so high up. We would definitely stay again.

The best hiking trail. Hiked to town several times. Did the bath house. Laid in the creek. We only stayed one day on the way out and it was not enough. and hit it again on our way back from Utah it was so great.

Beautiful natural environment. Quiet. Great hiking path although the first 1/4 mile was a challenging climb. It was well with the effort. Very quiet and great camping spots. We were fully satisfied .

Scenic campground and close to bathhouse row. Spots were very close and a bit of a challenge for bigger rigs.

Lovely quiet campground easy to get to. Clean and functional connections. Close to downtown Hot Springs. However, no office or welcoming staff on site and its easy to head to your site in the wrong direction like we did. Would have been nice to at least have signs showing where to go. Our site was narrow, with a good drop off from the asphalt, right where our steps ended.

One of the two bathroom buildings was closed, so we had to share bathroom facilities with all campers and the picnic area. The campsite itself was VERY close to other campers on 3 sides; I don't think we have ever been so close to other campers in an NP campground! No view to speak of, but nicely trees if you like some shade. That said, the site was level, electrical worked well, and it is the only campground for Hot Springs NP, so it qualifies for 3 stars.

Very comfortable, beautiful location. Lots of walking and hiking options. Site could be tight if you are camping large. Tarred sites are high, use caution. Camp hosts were excellent during a tornado warning! Great visit and would return.

Very clean with easy access to hook ups. The kids enjoyed being close to the streams and hiking to the tower to see the beautiful landscape.

Very nice campground. Lots of hiking trails right from the campground. Also, very close to sights to see in the town of Hot Springs. One note: If you are staying in the fall beware of falling acorns. We were parked under an oak tree and it was raining acorns the whole time. It sounded like someone was throwing rocks at our trailer. It startled us and scared our dogs.

It is a beautiful area with lots of shade. The only downside is there are no showers and in the summer the bathrooms are very warm, clean but warm.

Campground was clean and well appointed, but the lack of showers was a let down. Especially with temps in the 90's.No big deal if you have a RV with shower, as all the sites have water/electric hookups, but you'll have to figure something out to stay clean if tent/truck camping like I was. Also, they don't sell wood on site, but there are a few corner stores not far from there that do(like Citgo). They're supposed to be doing some renovations this year, so hopefully there are some showers included in those updates!

Pros:- Campground was clean and well laid out- Trails are in your backyard with access to bathhouse row- nice little creek running down the side of the campground Cons:- low hanging trees that can hit your rv if it is tall- highway right next to the campground so it can be loud with trucks and cars with stereos - if it rains the creek can get to high and impassable for days to get to trails. They need to build a little bridge.Would I stay here again, absolutely, I have no complaints I was just sharing my experience.

Gulpha Gorge is an urban park, that cannot be overstated. If you're looking for a secluded nature bath and opportunities to get lost in the woods, this ain't the place. All trails lead to town and the Gorge itself is kinda like its own little town. I think the sites should be priced more fairly because all sites are not created equal at this place - some are CLEARLY SUPERIOR to others! For future travelers, site 19 is arguably the worst one in the joint. Small space crammed right on top of two others practically, no good hammock trees, very exposed, close to the park road and the highway road and your view of the creek is blocked by whoever is in an RV in the two spots in front of you. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. All that being said, we enjoyed our stay at Gulpha Gorge and made the best of it. By far the highlight of this park is the volunteer campground host, Ken. At first meeting you might write him off as another 'rules guy' as he greets you at arrival and gives you the lay of the land. If you're lucky though (and you're open to it), he might come around later and recite a poem, play a couple songs on his guitar (with harmonica and kazoo atop his shoulders) or tell you a story that you'll have to decide for yourself how much is true. A storied man with a sausage dog with no name, hanging out with Ken for a song and a story is worth the cost of the overnight stay.

Clean campground. Friendly staff. Beautiful setting. Easily walkable to downtown Hot Springs and trail system. Caters more to RVs than tents - the only place to pitch a tent at some sites was the paved drive.
