Great site! Parking is TIGHT on a one way road. We have a 37 travel trailer and even after moving the car across from our site it was very snug. Site was slight unlevel side to side and front to back, needed a block on passenger side. Needed bricks under our steps and it was significant drop to the ground. Site backs up to the crew which our kids loved. Close to trailhead, great trails!

the spaces are nicely separated by bushes and trees. The only negative is the limited number of bathrooms.

The creekside campsites were lovely. The bathrooms and shower houses were clean. The entire campground was clean and quiet hours were respected. Numerous hiking trails started right next to the amphitheater. We thoroughly enjoyed the campground and National Park.

The Gulpa Gorge campground (and for that matter the park itself) should be taken over by the State of Arkansas. Not really national park worthy. Bathrooms were not cleaned on a regular basis. RV sites were full of debris and garbage. Grounds were not kept up. No security in the campground area - this is also a day use park so anyone passing through can make a loop through the camping area. Stay elsewhere, do one day in town, and move on.

Loved the stream behind our campsite. Our spot was a bit small. Not an ideal place to set up our tent to have level ground and not be on our neighbors spot. We ended up setting up our tent on the asphalt. Wish there were more bathrooms.

We love the hiking and atmosphere of the park. This was our fourth visit and did not realize the park went to a reservation system. The hosts were very kind in helping us navigate a reservation and a stay for the night.

Loved staying here! Park was clean and well maintained. Hiking was awesome. Bathrooms super clean (and warm). If I had to pick at all, the showers hot water wasn't exactly hot, more like warm at best, but they were clean.

Great campground. Super nice and helpful host. Nice, clean facilities. Having full hookups was a much appreciated added bonus. There are several walking trails from the campground. Pretty steep hiking, but well worth doing!

Campsite was soooo perfect - right next to a babbling creek, close to trailheads. As a solo traveler, I felt safe. The bathroom/shower was very clean.

Gulpha Gorge is the ideal place to camp while visiting Hot Springs National Park and the area. We had a lovely site, backing up to the creek. We loved hearing the sounds of the creek which was flowing pretty well given the recent rains. The parking pad was new asphalt which was level. Need to be careful not to sliip off the pad, as there is a 3 - 5" difference in height between the asphalt and the adjacent ground.

As always, we loved staying at Gulpha Gorge. Downtown Hot Springs is so much fun with nice restaurants and shopping. And I won at the horse races!

Enjoyable. Campsites are small, but ours was along the creek, so it was pleasant. No showers at this campground, but full hookups.

We had a great stay at Gulpha Gorge in early Feb 2024. We were in one of the sites along the creek with great access to Hot Springs National Park trail network. Well be back - and highly recommend this park for a great Hot Springs adventure home base!

It was very hard for me to assign a star rating because our experience had some really high points but also distinct drawbacks. Overall, I would stay again but there are a few details I wish I knew in advance. First, I should be clear that we are tent campers with school aged children, so this influenced our experience greatly!Pros: This site is right on the creek with direct (but steep) water access. We were traveling during a heat wave and our site was at least 5 cooler than the sites further from the water. The views were beautiful and the ambiance really nice! With so much heat, it was also wonderful to have a potable water spigot at our site. Its also a slightly more private site, so we could open all the tent windows. Going further into the campground, the creek broadens, and our entire family enjoyed cooling off before tucking in for the night. Cons: while the campground states all sites are suitable for tents, this campground is designed for RVs/campers. There were only a handful of tents in the (full) campground the night we stayed. Most sites are really small and all are very close together. We were able to squeeze our 6-person tent onto a grassy patch, but it was not level and I would not have used that site with smaller kids because it was very close to the drop off to the creek. If you are traveling with a tent, I recommend trying to get a site further into the campground and near the creek, as some of those have more space to actually pitch something (site numbers in the low 20s). In each case, I would still be prepared to set up on the asphalt pad if needed. Also, the bathrooms are being remodeled, so we had to walk to the far opposite end of the campground. Not a big deal for us but would have been very hard when my children were younger. We would stay again simply because the creek was so fun and the location convenient. But wed ideally book a different site.

Lovely sites with enough room to back your camper in with ease. There were closures for the bath house which keeps this from being excellent. Also i found the camp ground hosts to be totally unknowledgeable about the campground the the reservation rules. I realize they are volunteers but they should be able to answer basic questions. Lovely area with full hookups so that was nice. Go to see the tower, the view is wonderful.

Great RV focused campground. We have an overland trailer with a rooftop tent so it worked out but we saw many tent campers trying hard to find a patch of grass to set up their tents. If you are tent camping I would not recommend this campground. Also the RVers all around us left there outside lights on all night which diminished the experience because it created a lot of light pollution, attested bugs and shined light into our tent all night which made it hard to sleep. This should be addressed as quiet hours/dark hours to improve the experience and minimize light pollution. When we stayed the closest restroom was permanently closed for remodeling but that was never mentioned when booking or as an alert for the campground on the app. That meant a longer walk to the restroom each time. We never had any contact with the campground host or an rangers so no one validated our reservation. Over all it was a good experience but this is an RV heavy campground so just be aware of that.

We pulled in just before dark and were immediately greeted by the campground hosts. They made sure we found the campsite and had the information we needed for our stay. The site was level, easy to back into, and long enough to hold our tow vehicle. Electric, water, and sewer hookups were easily accessible. We stayed on the creek side and were delighted to see the "water falls" coming down the hills after the heavy rains. While the rising water in the creek prevented us from walking across the low water dam and onto the trails, it did not dampen our spirits about the clean, pretty, and quiet park. While there were no shower facilities, the toilet areas were clean, dry, and warm. We met a volunteer at the campground who provided much local information. The site is about 5 minutes drive time to Hot Springs Bath House Row.

We had an amazing stay! My wife and I brought our 3 dogs with us for our 4-year anniversary trip. We have never been to Hot Springs before, so we didnt have a clue where to stay. We got super lucky with this beautiful campground with plenty of room for the dogs to play and explore! It was a 5 minute drive to downtown Hot Springs, and literally only 3 turns from the campground to a free parking garage downtown! We could not have possibly picked a better location! Our only complaint was that our particular site (27) did not have a fire pit, although the website stated it did when we booked. All the sites next to us and around us had fire pits, and our site appeared to have a spot where one used to be. However, for one reason or another, it was not there. Because we visited in January, we were hoping to have a nice fire to keep us warm outside, but we just bundled up with blankets and made the best of it! We will definitely be returning to this campground in the future!
