Signs marking the entry road are not clear. Other than that, Gulpha Gorge is easy to get to.It is in very good condition with plenty of open sites in late November. We used Gulpha Gorge for a staging area to explore distributed camping further south in the Sabine National Forest. Most campers used it for boating and fishing.

There was no camp host. Site 7 is very unlevel as stated in the description. Plan on going back next year to do more hiking.

Site #7 was barely big enough for a two-person tent and ground is not level. We had to pitch tent up against campfire ring, which meant we couldn't have a campfire. Next to major road with significant street noise all night long. Good access to trails and sights but of the nine NPs at which we camped on this trip, Gulpha Gorge was the hardest to manage.

We had a good experience. The hiking trails were a bit challenging for us because of the grade. BE sure to go to one of the bathhouses. The water is great

Shower facilities were great! The campsites were small and too close to the road. Impossible to get level. I suppose down closer to the creek they were okay but where we were I couldnt wait to get out of there.

Beautiful park, close to downtown Hot Springs, nice hiking trails. only issue there were no staff on site while there, spent 3 days there. Our reserved site we booked online was so unleveled for our size camper, the front was jacked up so high, we did not feel it was safe to walk and move around in it, when we first called the office was told we could not be moved because we made reservations online, tried calling them, no answer, called the office back told us again we could not be moved to go get the campground host he would show us how to level, like we didn't know hung up on them tired from driving 10 hours there. Finally when the host came out and seen what we were dealing with he moved us. This should not be this difficult Finally after all that BS we were able to enjoy the rest of our stay. FYI site 7 not good for a bigger camper.

We enjoyed our stay at the north campground. The park official put us there so we could use the laundry facilities. However, the camp host informed us that 1-washer and 1- dryer have been waiting for quite some time for repair. Got our laundry done and the camp host was Great!

This campground is in a beautiful location with a stream running through one side. However, many of the sites are very unlevel and there is a heavily traveled road with many noisey trucks right behind several of the sites. We were in site 7 which was definitely not one I would choose again. Although the bathrooms were clean there was only one with one shower on the mens and one on the womens side. Location was good, near many activities in the area with some nice hiking trails as well. If you stay there I strongly recommend you try to reserve one of the sites along the creek.

One of our favorite campgrounds. We have stayed in 15 National Park campgrounds this summer. This one rates one of the top ones

Nice small campground with easy access to hiking and not far from the park visitor center. Negative is no showers on sight, although we did see people washing in the river next to us

Nice campground. Clean bathrooms and good hiking trails that link all the way to Hot springs. The only bad thing is sirens coming from town

It was really nice being able to find a campsite available the day of my arrival. Pulled up and saw some deer!

Beautiful campground right on the river and at the trail head for the very well maintained trails that take you to the Lookout Tower and/or to Bathouse Row. The sites are close together but angled in a way that makes them feel private. Nice picnic tables and fire ring. No showers. There is so much to see in Hot Springs. The park visitor center is beautiful and I enjoyed the bath experience at Buckstaff. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Site 7 Lovely view of the amphitheater with no neighbors in front. Fortunately we read previous reviews and knew we had to bring extra blocking because the site is very unlevel. Our 26 was very low in the back and fully extended at the tongue, this made the step in very high. We also knew the road was busy and noisy. Im mentioning these things so others can be prepared, but in spite of it all we had a wonderful time. The noise didnt bother us and we didnt hear it much after dark till early morning. Due to the steep incline we were unable to completely level front to back, which wasnt that bad except our black tank wouldnt completely drain. The park was beautifully maintained and weve already booked a return trip.

Nice campground. Only 9 sites so there were not a lot of people around. More dogs than people I think!

Some road noise, but the traffic dies down late evening. We hiked to town and enjoyed a lovely soak at the Qumpaw Baths.

The campground was well kept & maintained. The host were very welcoming & knowledgeable! We liked having access to the trails out our door. The road that runs next to the campground was a little noisy & busy. There was also a decent amount of day traffic in the campground to use the trails.

What a surprise to be camped more than 800' below surface. Very interesting scenery. Plan for zero cellular service. I like to be connected to the internet and have Starlink which performed quite well. The amount of flies in early October was surprising as we aren't from the area. Winds make walking around the site pleasant despite the flies. Having a meal outside is likely not possible.

It was a nice park. Host were helpful. Site 7 is a very very uneven site. I have a 2022 Ram 3500 and my fifth wheel is 35 long Very difficult to back into site. Then to level fifth wheel rear jacks were retracted all the way so that I could get the front jacks as low as possible. A 66 person could have walked under the front of the fifth wheel standing full erect
