We hunkered down during the vortex, arctic freeze. Camp Host was good at keeping the roads clear of the snow. We always had electricity. Restrooms were nice.

We went mostly for the hiking trails, watch for copperheads. Nice and quite campground, small spots, but expected for the size of the campground. Dumpster was overflowing on Monday. Hiked a few trails the first day, to Hot Springs and back the second day. Good workout for 70 yo with both knees replaced.

Friendly helpful check-in. Site 23 backs up to Gulpha Creek on a pie-shaped site with bushes between the next site on the passenger side for privacy. We needed to level by raising front and driver side rear. Lovely and peaceful, although you can sometimes hear traffic on the road going by (may have been trucks for storm damage repairs) Creek was high from recent storms so we could hear it babbling over the rocks. The rock path across the creek was under water but we were able to safely cross to the Gulpha Gorge trail with waterproof hikers. It is quite steep but if you are up for it this is a great hike right out of the campground up to Hot Springs Mountain trail.

We stayed on site 23, March 30 and 31. The park is clean and well kept, quiet after hours. The bathrooms and showers, while limited, were very clean and well cared for. Comments were made about the main garbage bin being full; it was picked up that afternoon and the area cleaned up. We would go back again. This was our favorite out of two State Parks and this National Park. A creek runs through the back of site 23 adding to the ambiance. The hiking trail are super. Just a nice place to visit.

I love where this campsite is in relation to the town of Hot Springs. Close, on the "right side of town", yet nestled-away from the too business of this bustling small town. I came to visit a friend, and what better way to enjoy accommodations, than to bring the camper and enjoy Nature. It's not a giant camping facility, but it's well-laid-out for how big it is, and it has a great vibe and there's good hiking right above at the gorge to the top of the ridge...so one doesn't have to drive anywhere.Clean facilities and all-around just a nice spot, that I hope to return to enjoy the Hot Springs water, the hot-baths, which I/we didn't get to enjoy this time, b/c we had our child/w us, and the minimum age is x14years.I recommend this campground . Hope everyone enjoys their camping experience.PS: We had a really nice campfire too.

Lovely campground with clean facilities! We were some of the only tent campers, and it would be nice if a small section were reserved for tents, so tent campers could avoid some of the RV a/c noise and use sites better set up for tent camping. We had reservations at two sites on successive days (not hard to move camp, thankfully), and the second site really did not have a place to pitch a tent other than on the end of the asphalt driveway. We pack cots, so not a huge problem for us, but not ideal if your sleeping bag will be on the ground. If you are tent camping, I recommend trying for a site along the creek.

Picked a site to be near a bathroom and it was closed. The next closest one had only one toilet the was working properly. Campground in general seemed run down and not well taken care of very well. Probably wouldnt come back here.

Campground was clean and our site was great, right near the creek. The campground is very close, if not in the town of Hot Springs. Expect some noise from traffic on the nearby road, but it wasn't anything that prevented my partner and I from sleeping. It's very close to the bathhouses by car, it's about a 2 mile hike. No firewood at the campground, so plan ahead and bring some. Beware that some of local places sell wood that isn't dried out, which can make starting a fire very difficult.
