Great place to be if you want access to the park trails. You will feel like you are in the deep woods while at the campground.

Website to set up registration is not user friendly, difficult at best. The campground is nice but have the campers packed in like sardines. The volunteer camp hosts were very helpful. There is no office manned for help, questions, etc. Spaces are to close together with narrow roads and do not easily fit larger campers. Mine is 38. Probably will not return.

We stayed at site 34 (across road from the Gorge) It was a nice site, however, we have a 26' travel trailer and it was a very tight fit to maneuver into with the trees and vehicles parked across the road. It would be better suited for a smaller trailer. The campground itself is beautiful with hiking trails right from the campground. We hiked to the Goat Trail lookout and it was worth the hike. We would definitely return but find a bigger site.

We have camped at many campgrounds around the country the two nights we spent at Gulpha gorge was by far the worst. If you do decide to camp here and you have a dog I highly recommend staying as far away from the camp hosts campground as possible he said his camper up there on the hill so he can look down on everybody sit in his chair and eyeball you the whole time and wait for the other little crybabies to come and tattle on you for some perceived infraction and then get on his quick dial on his phone and call the park rangers who will show up like a SWAT team to interrogate you and threaten you. Do not stay in this dumpy little campground if you can possibly avoid it there is one bathroom on that side of the campground and it has one shower and one toilet so if you want to use the shower you're locking everybody out of the toilet if you want to use a toilet you're locking everybody out of the shower very inconvenient

The host was excellent in helping us to get into the perfect site for our rig. We have a class A 34 foot and it just wasnt fitting, but he made it work with another site. Great place.

Very good national park campground! Our site was very tight to back in a 20 ft. trailer due to large fith wheel accross the road. Nice trails and facilities right in campground. A perfect place to visit for a couple of days!

The Park is well maintained and very close to trails and downtown. This was our second stay at Gulpha Gorge Campground and we love it!

Even though my site was still occupied by the previous owner when I arrived, I was quickly upgraded to a river site. The Camp Host was efficient and very helpful

Site was very clean and quiet. Pad was new asphalt. Connections were top notice. It would have been nice to have more gravel around the pad as I had to walk in mud to set up and close up the trailer. Steps from the trailer dropped right to the mud. Will stay there again!

This is a small campground, nestled in the woods beside a stream. Quite attractive and while I was there, although almost full, the environment was quiet and the staff friendly and helpful. Autumn mists and high humidity made for some attractive photos.I plan to revisit in the Spring.

Loved the campground. Added bonus that there was a beautiful walking trail right behind the campground to the historic district. Very well kept up and the volunteer host was very helpful and informative.

When we arrived at the campground, the registration office was closed with a note on the door to proceed to your campsite. After finding our site, we were not able to back our trailer onto it. The sites are not angled properly and the road too narrow. We couldn't maneuver onto it due in part to the truck and camper parked in the site across the street. There was no one in the front office to discuss any options. So, we were forced to leave the campground and find accommodations elsewhere. The website states that sites will accommodate rigs up to 50 feet, we are only at 44 feet. This should be corrected on the website. Thank you.

Great campground with full hookups right in the park, about half the sites are next to the creek and awesome sounds at night. Right next to many hiking trails and also bathhouse row. Some large Class A's and 30ft+ RV's may want some of the upper areas.

Stayed just one night in early March at site #34. Driveway was level, and site was near the bathrooms. The potable water spigots were off for the season, so bring enough water for your stay. It was not clear whether the bathroom sinks had potable water (I arrived late and left early, was not able to confirm with the host). Site also had hookups but I was sleeping in my car and couldn't tell if the water hookup was potable, either.
