Hardin Ridge Campground is located in the Brownstown Ranger District, Hoosier National Forest (30 min southeast of Bloomington, IN) with an elevation of 787 feet. There are a total of 195 campsites including 2 cabins. The campground is normally open from the beginning of April to the end of October. 149 sites can accommodate RVs between 20 and 60 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 14 sites have electric and water hookups. 70 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $21.00 to $50.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, swimming, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

Very nice park. Great camping with well laid out sites. Shower house is very nice! Fire pits at campsites are top notch!

Love the trails and we were the first to find bigfoot... how fun! The host were very nice and helpful. The bathrooms and showers, although water was cool were very clean.

This is my favorite park in Indiana because it is well kept, has modern amenities and tends to be fairly quiet. The hosts have always been great, the restrooms have always been clean and the sites extremely well maintained. Staff is amazing!

This campground is one of the best places I have ever camped. I go as many times as I can every years. You actually have some privacy in your site, even if you are tent-camping. The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful. I hope this year's staff in Southern Point can return next year!(I almost don't want to tell people about how great this place is, because I want to keep it to myself. But I also want the powers that be, whoever they are, to know that Hardin Ridge and its staff are very much appreciated!!)

Assuming you or anyone you are camping with plans to shower, southern point is not the place to do so. The shower is cold as can be and just pelts you with a solid stream of ice water. However that being said, white oak campsite is just a hop and a skip away and the showers there are fantastic, and considerably hot.

This is a large site, very comfortable for a long stay. Difficult to level - camp side will need some blocks as will your steps. Restrooms and showers are first class. Toilet paper is not sandpaper. Staff keep it maintained well.The trails are great, including the interpretive trail. If you walk down to the lake, be ready for a brutal walk back up the road. 150mb/s with ATT mini.
