Don't know how I never knew of this park living in the MW for my whole life. Amazing grounds, clean bathrooms, attentive and welcoming hosts, slew of wild animals to admire. I could go on and on. Will be returning, without a doubt!

It was nice and quiet. Unfortunately it rained the one day we were there, but staff was very helpful and very nice

Camp host was extremely friendly! The campsite was clean and comfortable. A little closer to other primitive sites than I would have liked but luckily we were the only campsite on the loop that night. Will definitely return. The bathroom facilities were clean and plentiful.

The grounds are always immaculate. Campground hosts are very friendly and helpful. The sites aren't too close together. Very peaceful and relaxing campground.

Quiet campground but a 2nd vehicle has to pay admission for every day there. National Parks Pass is not honored for admission, only campsites.

Absolutely wonderful! But just to be clear these are Bunks without a bed (aka no plastic foam mattress of any kind)! So be sure to bring something cushy otherwise you will be sleeping on a piece of plywood for your stay. Other than this, just beautiful!

Beautiful campground. We used the lake access for the canoe. firewood is for sale at the entrance. Lots of bathrooms. Used the fire pit at the site. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Beautiful campground with big, spread out spaces.It allowed me to book a tent spot with 30 amp electric, but there was space on the road to park my camper.Camp hosts were friendly and helpful.Showers were clean, but on the cool side.

Wish they would extend checkout on Sundays and holidays to 5pm like the state parks instead of noon

Great campsites, host are extremely friendly and helpful. Great spot if you are a fisherman. Hiking is limited unless you bushwack (not sure if that is permitted).l

We always enjoy our camps at Hardin Ridge, and this time was no exception. It's a beautiful place, and the staff never fail to welcome us and help with any problem or need. We'll certainly be back as soon as possible!

Our weekday stay was very quiet! The campground hosts were extremely helpful in moving us to a different spot, as the one we booked had an incomplete description on Reservation.gov. The hiking trails and lakefront shelters were a bonus.

I took 4 individuals who had not camped before. Used 2 tents for the 4 individuals, plus a hammock for myself. Plenty of room in the campsite.

Great shaded campsites. Nice if you have a boat, even have playgrounds for children. It was raining when we went, which was unfortunate because we love the place, but we always still go back.

The campsites were clean spacious you weren't camping on top of your neighbor there is a lot of room in between each campsite couldn't say enough about the courtesy and hospitality of the staff

Site 126 Great Spot in the Park!I recently stayed at Site 126 and had a great experience. The location within the park was idealpeaceful, spacious, and felt nicely secluded while still being close to the clean bathrooms and showers. The cement pad was level and worked perfectly for my car and tent setup, which made things super convenient. One of the small but awesome touches was how the campground delivers firewood right to your site after you payno need to haul it yourself. Overall, Id definitely recommend this site to anyone looking for a relaxed and well-maintained camping experience.

The campsites are awesome, very large and nice and level. We were moved to a different loop because our loop closed for the season when we camped the last weekend of October. However, the loop we were moved to, we were not given water sites (we had 3 people that reserved sites together) in the new loop. I do wish we had been told when we made the reservations that they would be closed by the time we were camping. I would think that would be planned well in advance but maybe not. Otherwise, everything was great and we enjoyed the sites very much. We will be coming back for sure. I have to say this is one of the best parks I have camped on as far as size and levelness of the sites. Very very nice. This park is very beautiful.

We really enjoy Hardin Ridge due to less traffic and bigger sites. This trip we stayed in BlueGill 133, which was ok. The site was big, but the placement of the fire pit was odd. Plus the pit wasnt buried in the ground so when we had a fire we couldnt see it or stay warm from it. The pit was probably 2 ft above ground, but in addition to that the park ran out of firewood mid weekend and was sending people 20 minutes out of town if you needed it. We ended up driving to get some but some other people couldnt because they would have had to pack up to drive. The weekend we were there was their Fall event and trick or treating which was fun. We didnt have any kids but handed out candy and enjoyed seeing all the costumes and families participating.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
