We love this campground and have been coming here for over 10 years. It's always been a quiet place. Recently tho, speed boats and jet skis have ruined the quiet. The lake is a no wake lake, so those things, unfortunately, are ok to use.

I love Pete's Lake Campground! It's a rustic campground with large camp sites. You can easily doulbe up on sites with friends or family. The beach and lake are great.

The Pete’s Lake campground is one of the finest in the UP, and our experience with the campground hosts was the best ever. They do have a couple of days off per week, and the parties responsible for cleanup between campers in their absence dropped the ball with lots of stones, sticks and debris left by the previous occupants of our site. We had to find a rake and clean up before we could place our tents and rake a lot of sticks & other natural matter away from the firepit to minimize chance for stray fires.
The pit bathrooms were immaculate and smelled very fresh; the hosts cleaned them at least once a day.

Our stay was definitely enjoyable. It was quiet and beautiful. No raccoons this year, which made sleeping much easier !

However, the toilets were not as well kept up as they were the previous year and the smell was quite noticeable at our site. (We stayed in the same proximity the previous year)

If needing wood for your stay, I recommend driving 5 minutes to the Forest Glen for their wood offerings. Much better wood for a cheaper price.

All in all it was a wonderful stay. However I’m not enthused with the “rule” of one tent per site. We do not think the children should be sleeping with the adults. So for one campsite that allows up to 8 people, 2-3 tents should be acceptable.

We have try to get here once or twice a year. The sites are nicely wooded and the beach & lake are great. We were really happy to see the camp hosts return after a year away. They are always friendly and helpful. Even seasoned campers need some help now and again!

First off. Just wanted to say that the park rangers were absolutely amazing this past weekend

Campers beware! Hidden cost! What’s not listed on the website but is “posted” at the campsite are additional fees. The website says $20 per night but at the campground it’s $20 per night per “sleeping unit” or tent to be exact. Much to my surprise my first morning after breakfast the “campground host” paid me a visit to inform me I owe more money. 1additional tents = $80 more. Kinda ruined my trip. So, watch out here. 1 tent 20 dollars. 2 tents 40 dollars and so on....
