I've been coming here for years but it's time to move on. I'm bummed. I camped here for my honeymoon. I camp in a National Forest for the beauty and even more for the seclusion. If I wanted company I'd have stayed in a state park campground. In all of my times staying here prior, I had seen a ranger one time and once a car pulled up to turn around to my campsite, cumulatively over years. In this past trip alone the rangers were out three times during a one week trip, and the last time was an hour before checkout on the last day. Sure, it's their job. It was a little overkill but that wasn't the big issue. I do wish they would have just waited until check out time. We had no less than six people drive up into our campsite. One time when coming back from a walk with the dogs, a group of people on dirt bikes were leaving our campsite. There was nothing else down that road. There is nowhere to turn around any sooner than the campsite. Every time I heard a gust of wind I had to wrangle my dogs because I didn't know if it was a gust or if somebody was driving up the gravel road and was going to show up unannounced. Again. I had a terrible week and couldn't relax. We did not have a single day without someone disrespectfully crashing the trip. Time to find a new spot. I can't believe how much traffic this secluded place had. This has never happened before. I mentioned it to the rangers and they just said yeah we have a lot of curious folks. I do wish there was a turnaround farther down the road and some signage to indicate that the site is occupied since the people can't be bothered to check. It would be nicer without the extra company that I didn't want.

It's beautiful and secluded. I photographed the northern lights here. I really love the addition of the picnic table. It wasn't there last time I camped here and it was helpful.

The newly added picnic table was very useful. Toilet paper was not added during our week stay, we had to use our own.

Beautiful lake and site. Quiet. Enjoyed swimming and listening to the birds.
Took some pretty challenging roads coming in - then figured out a better route.
Horseflies and black flies were a little pesky.
No picnic table, but for the price we were very happy.

Road leading to site better for vehicles with clearance and four wheel drive. Not impossible with an economy car but not recommended.
