We loved the solitude & remote nature of this basic site. I didn't expect the picnic table so that was a nice plus. At least one visitor a day came to launch a boat or kayaks. We heard loons a few nights, deer, coyote evidence, but relatively quiet for wildlife. Plenty of options for hammocks. Each day we either drove 30 min S to the Michigan Lakeshore or 30 min N to Superior. Lake Kitch-iti-kipi & Pictured Rocks are must sees. Fayette was a cool old ghost town & historic area. Plenty of hiking & waterfalls near Munising. Beautiful area!

Campsite does not have any roads that lead to it. The directions it gives are for roads that do not exist or do not go anywhere near the lake. You can drive on a backroad of gravel and sand up to 2.5 miles away from the campsite but will then have to walk the rest of the way.

Camp site is very spacious for a couple of people, with perfect spots to set up tents & hammocks as a way of shelter! The outhouse is conveniently just a short walk away and unkept pretty clean. With two sources of fishing, this site exceeded my boyfriend & my expectations!

Beautiful campsite. Very secluded, nice and quiet. Definitely will be back again!

Love the camp site. It’s tucked away, the lakes are beautiful, it’s within 40min of pictured rocks it’s perfect the only thing is every year I’ve been to the camp site there has always been other campers mistaking their camp site with ours almost on a daily basis. Wish the federal park service would look into making the reservations more clear.

We drove 8-hours to camp here and loved this location. With the exception of someone dispersed camping out of their truck for two nights (never making a sound) and a few day time boaters (also never making a sound), it felt like we had acres of nature to ourselves. The peace and quiet is just what we needed to recharge and the lack of any cell service was very welcome. The camping site is quite shaded and the view to the lake is a bit limited from this spot. Dead and downed wood was ample and easy to gather for our fires. Access to the Pine Marten Loop Trails is excellent from this location - we did four different loop hikes with very little trail overlap. Note you do not want to be in a low riding car headed back to this area as the last few miles are quite rugged and the center of the "road" is a bit high. We're already planning our next trip back we enjoyed this one so much.

Need to stand your ground, pretty much a battle campground for people don't do their own research before they book their campsites. People keep thinking it's belong to lake nineteen. Rest is history. I highly suggest to put a sign where they need to turn if there going to lake nineteen to listen chaos
especially if they book the campsite. Some people so crude even in front of the children without knowing the knowledge what they're talking about. People goes camping to unwind, relax, and forget the chaotic situation but not in these case. More signage to which and where would be very helpful to lessen the future drama.

Great campsite with plenty of room and view of Lake Nineteen. Each day we were there about between 2-4 vehicles would drive through to access the lakes and the site is located right on the road. Not really an issue but you will likely see other people. Rustic toilet was very nice. We would definitely go back.
