Its just a parking lot not a campground. I knew that before checking in so I wasnt surprised, but theres not much else to say about a parking lot.

Great park with a nice visitors center. The RV campground needs lots of work. As others have said it is a parking lot that was converted. There is a bathroom that could use a little attention but the parking lot is in the middle of a wind tunnel formed by the mountains. Expect double the forecasted wind. Would be nice if some of the tent camping spots allowed Truck camping for people with Rooftop Tents like me.

Great spot

The tight spacing in the RV lot makes for a poor view and most directions. The water pump has a threaded faucet that does not not accept standard hoses to fill RV water tanks.

Small camp ground but it was nice, beautiful views at nice too. mostly a parking lot but most places do not have that much privacy anyway. Rest rooms come with sanitary toilet seat covers. That is very nice. Dish washing area too. The best was a purified water fill station. External water also available. No external dump site toilet holding tanks are pumped out by a sanitation truck.

We camped in our RV for two nights. The lot is level which is nice. Bathrooms and water are close by.No hook ups available as they mention up front. The weather was nice so we enjoyed sleeping with windows open.

Although campground was a parking lot it was nice. Nice to have bathroom and easy access to trails. The campground host was very nice and helpful. Thanks!

Campground for a RV has breath-taking views! But, the RV campground is a converted parking lot. It's better than nothing, but the NPS has not put many upgrades into this park over the years. I realize this is a great park for back country hiking, but those who are not able to do back country hiking, i.e. us people with a pet dog, did at least enjoy the views from the roads. Let's drive into the Williams Ranch within the park, oh wait the road was washed out several years ago and the NPS has not repaired it. This was a great spot to stay, to drive back into New Mexico, to see the Carlsbad Caverns! Sorry for sounding so negative, continue to keep the annual visitation low and we'll be back after the dog dies.

Stayed on the RV side. It is literally a large parking lot. Make sure your site is rated for your RV size. No water to fill an RV tank but you can fill containers. Very clean campground. Bathrooms are dated but functional.

The park is beautiful and the campground super clean. Some sites are easier as RV sites and sometimes it is hard to find a level place for a tent.

My friends and I love the Guadalupe Mountains. We come several times a year. This is the first time we have camped. We absolutely loved camping there. We will be camping more often.

It's a very basic campground but it's perfect for waking up and being at the trailhead for multiple great hikes within the park. We were happy with the campsite and enjoyed our stay.

Well the park was very clean, while the park rangers were incredibly helpful it was not with me he had envisioned at all. Unlike other state or national parks that we have visited, our campground was a big giant parking lot with one camper on top of another camper. There literally was not even room to sit between your vehicle and your trailer. Just be aware of that. Hiking is great but theres nothing else to do anywhere around there but hike (No biking either) so if you have kids you may want to think twice and if youre not a hiker you may want to visit Davis mountains or Big Bend where there are less attempts hikes and other opportunities. Please do not get me wrong, its a lovely park we wouldnt visit again.

The host (during March 1-3) should not be a host! He was very rude from his first word spoken. He called us stupid and wrong and went so far to say that not sure how you do it in Canada but this is how we do it in the us. All this because we parked sideways within the boundaries of our assigned spot. Was totally unprovoked and uncalled for. Having said all that the hiking is awesome.

We stayed two nights. The camp hosts were wonderful! Out every day updating the reservations, making sure no site was left unattended. The sites were as expected, on black top, but that is a bit of a plus with so much dry dust around. The bathrooms were nice and clean. While there is water, there is no electric, and no dump station. We really enjoyed the location, for the mountains as well as a short trip to Carlsbad Caverns. We stayed in Feb, so The wind was a little strong. I am not sure if that is all the time or seasonal. I hope some day to return.

Great camping for both RVs and tents. Good amenities with trail heads near by, including Pine Springs to Guadalupe Peak - a 9 mile trek to the summit.

Mountains were beautiful, really enjoyed the visitor center. The rangers were informative and had time to explain the flora and fauna. But, couldn’t give it 5 stars because the camping is just basically a parking spot in a parking lot. Wish they had a true camp ground.
