We loved our stay at pine springs! The RV spots are pretty small and close together, but the views were amazing. The bathrooms were clean. We loved the Guadalupe mountains! There are many amazing trails right next to the campsite, we did the Guadalupe peak trail. I recommend setting up and cheering on the hikers when they return from that hike and maybe give them a cold beverage! We felt like we wanted a welcome back party.

It was exactly how it was described on the Recreation.gov reservation site. It was a parking lot. I parked 2 nights in my car and had a spot on the end of a row. It was quiet and convenient to get an early start on hiking the mountain. The bathrooms were clean.

Yep, it's pretty much just a parking lot. No privacy, kinda small, and cramped but it's level, got really clean bathrooms, water/dish washing sink, and some nice views. Also it's right next to the trailhead so super easy to just wake up and get hiking. Pretty much all you could ask for for car camping.

This is a parking lot at a trailhead. The bathrooms are clean and the view of the leaks is nice. Served its purpose as an overnight stop.

Nice to camp right at the trailhead.

The reservation process on recreation.gov was efficient. The road into Pine Springs #5 was dirt with occasional rough spots and rocks, but no problem for our AWD Ford Transit van. I think site #5 has the best views of the sites on the Pine Springs road. There is a bear box (javelina box?) at the site, but no picnic table.

Great place to camp for hiking the peak before sunrise.

Right next to the trailhead to go to the top of Texas and near a bathroom. Couldnt ask for more for my needs!

I didnt stay here long, it was mainly a last minute stopover because travel plans changed, but it looked wonderful. The RV spots are a little close together, its essentially a parking lot, so if you have more of a setup like I do (truck/car/suv camper, you might book a site with a picnic table. Not all have them, and if one isnt available there are day use areas close by that have them. The only big thing that bothered me was the loud people across the way that enjoyed making fun of my setup. They could be heard across the campground.

Nice little campground, very remote and peaceful. Bathrooms available and camping spots are flat compared to the RV, pull through, truck camping spots that are at an angle / slope. The trails are awesome and I will continue to return to this beautiful place.

I love staying at Pine Springs campground when I visit Guadalupe Mountains NP. I used the RV lot this time but have also tent camped. The camp host was excellent as he worked hard on getting folks into sites that fit their rigs by moving people around. The staff at the visitor center were very helpful in answering questions prior to my visit. The RV spaces are just in a parking lot but that’s OK as you are surrounded by the mountains & that’s why you are there. The tent camping sites are excellent & are in a very natural setting.

Campground is shared with parking area for day hikers but spots on periphery are scenic and reasonably private with running water and flush toilets. Close to visitor center and several trailheads. Recently switched from from FCFS to reservations. Would stay there again.
