Beautiful campgrounds with good amenities! Make sure to check out the mail house on the trail next to the visitor center. We did go during a rainy time so we were unable to do other hikes, but plan to come back soon.

Easy to get permit at Visitors Center; both Rangers were very helpful and courteous. The campground was quiet, clean, and in close proximity to trailheads, dual bathrooms, water-fill station, and clean-up sinks. Parking was right in front of campsite with enough room for 2+ cars / trucks. All-n-all, another great experience at GUMO Pine Springs Campground.

The tent pad had standing water - and not just a shallow puddle, it was couple of inches deep and covered most of the pad. So we used bivvy bags and slept next to our vehicle instead. I guess there's only a handful of days in the year when this would be a problem, but I don't know why the pads weren't designed to be permeable - we saw standing water at other sites too. So the campsite was disappointing but I still gave three stars because the restrooms had plenty of paper in them, and we loved the hike up Guadalupe Peak the next day.

Great campground! Heated bathrooms by the RV park with a designated dish washing sink outside. Would stay here again.

Nice little camp. The tent section was away from the RVs. There is a filtered water station. The biggest disappointment is the noise from the highway. The camp is less than a mile from a very busy highway and all night long cars and trucks are zooming along. You go to nature to get away from the stress of the world, but the traffic noise just brings you right back. Would it kill the NPS to out a sound barrier along the highway?

Pine Springs camp ground is at a great location for all great hikes for the park. it does get super windy there so better be prepared for the right camping gears.

Beautiful campground. No camp host. No rangers monitoring the campgrounds. Someone took our campsite even though we had reservations. They were gone the next morning. When we told the rangers about our problem at the visitor center, they told us to contact recreation.gov.

The site we had was super clean when we arrived and all facilities were well kept up with. The water fountains weren't in order/working so we packed in some water and then filled up near the trailhead. The views were amazing from this camp and we hope to be back soon!

The campgrounds were nice. No water or electic available at the tent sites but a restroom with potable water is located next to the trail heads and visitor center, which was neat. Lots of swag and a small exhibit of local wildlife. The park rangers were friendly and informative about conditions on the mountain.

Pine Springs campground is an incredibly beautiful campground with a great view. I watched the sunset over the mountains from my site. When I arrived at my site it said it had been reserved with my initials there. Once slight source of confusion for me was the time zone. They are on MOUNTAIN time zone. Something to keep in mind is, the bathrooms nearest me were pit toilets. There may be running water somewhere but I didn't go looking for it.It was also so windy that I could barely sleep, but I had checked the weather forecast and knew about potential for wind, so that one was on me.It was about 30 minutes from Carlsbad Caverns which was really, really cool! It's a must-see natural feature.
