excellent! It was really just a parking lot with a picnic table and bathrooms nearby.

Quaint and quiet little campground with a heated bathroom, flush toilets, spigot with water, and an outdoor dish washing area. We encountered 3 families taking their cat on a walk- so cat lovers, this is apparently a good spot for you!

Really good hiking, friendly and informative staff but RVs are relegated to a parking lot for campsites. Tent campers have choices around a typical campground loop. I wish travel trailers had the same. Bathroom was very clean.

RV area can get pretty windy, tent camping areas are fairly well sheltered

I was there with a group of 30 young men and a few of their dads. Check in was easy, the directions were easy, and the facilities were really perfect for what you need. I do wish the RV sites had power, but I knew it wasn't there when I booked. The bathrooms were better than I would have thought and the water station was great. The camping areas we booked were perfect and well maintained. I do recommend Sitting Bull Falls and of course Carlsbad since you're right there. We also went to Carlsbad to swim at the river. Great water park right there too that we didn't go to, but looked like a fun afternoon's worth of stuff to do.

It has the Charme of a parking lot with great surroundings. There are clean restrooms and a kitchen sink. Several hikes in different difficulty levels start from here

RV sites are marginal....long vehicles is basically diagonal parking in a parking lot. Better for shorter RV's. Tent sites looked awesome. Bathrooms were well maintained.

RV campground was a parking lot. No greenspace between campsite, nothing but asphalt. campsites were the size of parking spaces at WalMart, cramped, one on top of another. Not really a campground.

It was hard to tell when I made my reservation that the campsite was simply a parking lot, but it was surrounded by a beautiful area and was quiet and dark at night for a relaxing night.

Nice site against the mountains hiking trails near by.

Basic rv pads but the scenic beauty is outstanding

Really pretty campground. Shady, with adequate bathrooms.

The location and scenery is absolutely amazing. The overall accommodations can best be described as sparse. The RV sites are right on top of each other. Half of them are just parking spots in front of the sites which get a picnic table. There are no hookups or even a communal shower. The park could definitely be laid out better.
@ChristopherL18 · Camped on Oct 30, 2021 at Campsite #21
Although a parking lot site with no hook ups, the views are splendid and the toilet and washroom facilities are excellent, as are the water sources.
Two essential and beautiful hikes are Guadalupe Peak trail up to the peak (highest point in Texas) and the McKittrick Canyon trail up to the Notch and beyond. Unforgettable views and neither one excessively difficult.

Small, but clean, organized with great access to trails. Restroom facilities in great condition. Would stay there again.

This was on my bucket list and I was in awe when we arrived. The park is located in a beautiful area which makes for breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. It's also a fun place to watch all those courageous hikers coming back from their adventures. For those who are traveling in an RV please be aware that there are only toilets and no showers. Nor is there a dump station in the park. We arrived on Oct. 23 and checked out the next morning. We were not prepared for the howling winds that literally rocked our RV. It made for a difficult night. But other than that, we created lifelong memories that we will always cherish.

One of the prettiest places we've ever camped.
