Tent campground and restroom were well maintained. Not a lot of shade or shelter from the wind. Tent pads are also difficult to use stakes, so be prepared to use rocks to secure your tent. There are plenty of large rocks around that you can use. Easy access to Guadalupe peak trail for hikers. Unfortunately, there is a lot of light pollution to the east of the campground outside of the national park grounds. Not sure what the lights are from because it looks like empty land on google maps.

Only one waterpoint available on the whole camping and you had to walk 5 minutes to get there. Campsite had no shade, and was in bad shape, for example fencing was broken. No showers available.

A great campsite in a beautiful place. Only downside is no water spigot at the campsites, but there's potable water at the visitor center and a latrine at the campsite. A great place to camp, especially if you're wanting to climb Guadalupe Peak in the morning.

Campsite was clean and large enough to fit two 2-person tents albeit very close and with a minor amount of tent fly overlap but still usable. Closest toilets were vault toilets and were clean, made it a nice place to change clothes since the weather was pretty cool. Some campsites were a little close together but all campers were quiet and respectful at night.

Great views! It can get very windy, so make sure to prepare for that. There are ample large rocks to secure your tent, but make sure your stove has some kind of wind protection; otherwise it can be hard to cook. My only complaint is that I think the price is a little high for the amenities here (the entrance fee should be higher, I think).

Site 10 was tucked away nicely in the back - meant a little trek back and forth from the car, but easy to manage and worth it for the seclusion of the site. Got up early and beat the crowds to Guadalupe Peak - made for an amazing hike. The rangers were kind and helpful and made the Park incredibly welcoming.

The campsite was clean. The campsite was visible to other campsites nearby. I thought that the distance between my campsite (#10) and the bathroom was longer than average.

The park is beautiful and we camped in a tent site. There was no close water source and it was very laborious to have to walk to the bathrooms near the RV site to wash dishes. Also the arrangement of the campsites involved walking back and forth many times between the car and the tent site to set up camp. A closer water source in such a hot climate seems essential.

This review is about tent camping, not RV camping. This is the 15th national park my family has camped in and it was one of our favorite campgrounds. Unlike other national parks, this campground is small and quiet and the spaces feel private, even without much tree cover. We had sites 9, 10, and 11, which all required campers to walk in about 100 feet from the parking lot. We saw other sites that had drive in parking spots, but we preferred to be a bit removed from the main road (which itself is restricted to tent campers only). Toilets were clean and there was a dishwashing station and water refill area. We chose the campground because it is right next to the trailhead for Guadalupe Peak and parking can fill up quickly. I would 100% stay here again. One thing to note is that we were lucky with the weather, but it can get extremely windy in the winter and early spring.

This campsite is nice and spacious in the heart of Texas. It was really nice being close to the trailhead. It got a little windy but the rocks on the stakes helped

That center door on the bathrooms at the trailhead parking has a filtered water dispenser inside. Devils Hall hike is great fun.

Beautiful area, easy access, nicely laid out tent campsites. Easy entrance to the popular trails and not far from McKittrick and other attractions.Only complaint is no shower in the main bathroom area and no campfires allowed.

The campground is great, nice sites close to the major trailheads. Why only three stars? 50-mph winds obliterated my tent, shortening my visit. Really beautiful park.

I was travelling light, and this was a good experience. Everything was well-maintained, the trails were good, and latrines were close. Also close is the highway, so light sleepers beware. Only thing I could ask for is onsite shower facilities.

The campground is much more popular than it was in previous visits. All sites were full and there was one pit toilet for many campsites. We were in campsite 10 and the tent was close enough to our neighbors that I could hear their snoring at night.

Site #10 is a short walk from the parking spot. We opted to sleep in our truck because it was incredibly cold and we didn't feel like trekking our stuff back and forth in the wind. It was beautiful though! The sky is incredible and the campground is quiet and peaceful. The pit toilet had a smell and wasn't super clean, so we used the RV lot's bathroom facilities-- also not the cleanest but way better than the pit. It was nice being close to the trail head and we got great sleep in our vehicle. I would stay here again in the summer so I can sleep outside and watch the incredible stars!

The site and the views at this location were good, and the fee for reserving and using it was also good. My group and I had some major concerns about the staff and personnel at this site, but I will be submitting that feedback as a private review (in order to protect the guilty and help the NPS save some face, I suppose). Overall, I say don't hesitate to visit Pine Springs, hopefully the jerks were just some bad apples.
