Staff were very helpful. I bought a Senior Lifetime park pass. This 68 yr old and his son made Guadalupe peak! Hope to bring back other family sometime.

Enjoyed our time. Trailhead is right next to campground. Couldnt find water other than at the trailhead. Sites were well spaced.

We had a great experience despite not being able to pitch our tent the first night due to high winds. Our campsite was in excellent condition, and the others that we could see seemed the same, and we didn't have to do much at all to get our tent erected the second night. The bathroom was very clean and comfortable. (We didn't use the latrine-style, we walked up to the flushies.) There was quite a bit of highway noise, which we could have handled, but also a rude group of campers who yelled, blasted music, and laughed way too loudly well after the quiet hours began. There wasn't anyone to deal with it, and we eventually fell asleep. I would 100% happily stay there again, although I'd be better prepared for the high wind! Also, there was really good cell coverage, surprisingly. Very, very easy to get to McKittrick Canyon and Smith Springs/Frijole Ranch, then to Carlsbad Caverns. All the rangers, personnel, and volunteers we met were wonderful and professional. We loved our GMNP experience.

During a heavy rain, the tent platforms in many tent sites became small lakes. Got wet from the bottom up, not top down!Beautiful hiking trails, water bottle filling station appreciated.

Excellent campground, clean restrooms, convenient to Guadalupe Peak Trail.

Stayed here and hiked El Capitan and Guadeloupe Peak. Very nice place , but no way you can fit two tents in a single camp site.

I was at campsite #9. The site was clean and well maintained, with good hiking within an easy walking distance. #9 is set back a bit from other campsites and provided nice views and was probably a bit quieter than some of the other sites. I would stay at this site again.

The tent loop sites were pretty convenient to the parking slots. Site 9 was about 40 meters from the vehicle. The sites were pretty close together, but positioned to maximize privacy. 2 Vault toilets were close by, but it was only a short drive to flush toilets with water, and a water bottle refill station.Be certain to fully secure your tents and flies, as we experienced 50-60 mph wind gusts one night that were sudden, intense, and persistent for a couple of hours. Apparently this is fairly common due to the position of the campground in the valley.

Pine Springs Campground was beautiful. The camp sites were clearly marked and an nice trail is laid out to each campsite. Some campsites are a little close which is perfect if you have multiply friends camping or just love getting to know your neighbors. The campsite is quite with beautiful views. Enjoyed it immensely!

Great bathrooms, friendly rangers, and overall wonderful.

Liked the level tent sites and close proximity to Trailheads. Nice Ranger station too. All trails off a variety of scenery and vigor. Surprisingly for a place fairly remote and primitive, tight getting a reservation. Liked the campground's Noise and Light curfews.
Noise from cars traveling on the nearby roadway was noticeable --growth from many sources encroaching the Park.
TIP: The winds here can be seriously Strong, make necessary preparations before you come (strong tent stakes to Hammer in, Windscreen for stove, Earplugs to reduce the sound of your tent /rainfly whipping around).
One "wishlist" item: add hot Showers!!

I spent a single night at a tent site. The site and general area were clean, as well as restrooms. It was an awesome night on the High desert.

Mostly experienced campers so people know when to be quiet! Big sky views as it's dark except to the east. Some highway noise makes its way up due to the oil and gas industry but it dies out around 10pm. Not much shade so be forewarned. Campsites are separated a fair distance apart. Superintendent Eric and team do a good job of keeping trails well marked and the areas in good shape. If you want to get in shape fast this is the place. If you're a newbie or flatlander be realistic about what you can do. Carrying emergency supplies and a basic med kit is a must.

Well maintained facilities and campsites. Excellent location for stargazing. Please make use of red lights after sunset so as not to disturb fellow stargazers and neighbors.

Awesome as usual….but I hate the new reservations. All campsites reserved on website but less than half actually occupied. Too many people making advanced reservations and not showing up. Park Service still gets their money but people who want to use the park cannot.
