Simple, but had the essentials and conveniently close to the trail head. Had a great time here.

The campsite was terrible. The only cycling trail closed. I left a day early to go to a state park that was much more camper friendly.

Parking lot camping. Lots of fun campers to visit with!

The rv campground isnt much more than a parking lot but it was surrounded by beautiful mountains. Its a great place to camp to start the trails early. Very clean.

We were in an RV site on the end of parking lot closest to mountains and that afforded us some privacy. Also, bathrooms were kept clean despite heavy use by hikers. Some minor, inexpensive work would make a large difference in safety and infrastructure of RV area: 1) add another speed bump and slow speed limit sign right as cars approach curve to enter campground, 2) repaint arrow on blacktop to direct cars to go to south westernmost driveway entering lot rather than between two rows of campers (most cars go between campers), 3) fix frost-free water spout (spews water everywhere) and add shutoff valve for 2nd sink at dish-washing station to conserve water (this is the desert, after all).Park trails and scenery and visitor center were GREAT.

As other reviews have pointed out, the campground is a large, paved parking area which also is shared with day hikers. The sites backing up to the trees are small and more suitable to smaller trailers or class B/C RVs. The center section will accommodate large trailers/5th wheels and class A RVs but that space is limited in size, too. Be mindful of the size of your RV AND the overhang of the trees in the back sites. That being said, our time was enjoyable and our site (25) accommodated our 17 trailer. The parking area can become busy as this is trail access to Guadalupe Peak and other hikes as well. Potable water is available, a water bottle fill station is in the restroom building, and the restrooms are well maintained. There wasnt a campground host (family emergency) but the rangers and volunteers make frequent appearances (great staff!).My only complaint is with generator usage in such a cramped area. I loathe the sound and smell of these contraptions and would rather have them eliminated entirely unless it was mandated that generators must be confined to the interior of the vehicle while in use. At the very least generator use should be limited to 1-2 hours in the morning and 1-2 hours in late afternoon. Had a great five day visit (hiking) and would certainly return.

Camp spot was in a parking lot, but we had a spot at the end of the lot. It was quiet, good access to bathroom an and water. Enjoyed our stay.

I came specifically to hike to Guadalupe Peak. Trailhead is less than 50' from the campsites. No hook ups, bring what you need. Filtered water station and flush toilets onsite.

Clean bathroom, located at a main trailhead. Basically your site is a parking lot, were the winds can be challenging. Overall a good experience

Beautiful place, fun hiking.

Our site was very unlevel and was parallel to the road circling around the campground. Several trailers had slideouts extended into the road in spite of the booking website warning that slideouts couldn’t be accommodated for most campsites, which made it difficult to drive to our site while dodging the slideouts. Peaceful location, but we probably won’t stay here again due to the poor management of the campground.

Great hiking opportunities. It would be helpful to add milage to the trail markers.

Guadalupe Mountain SP is a well maintained no frills RV/Campground. I'm glad it's now on the reservation system. Bring your supplies no electric or dump site. What you bring is what you bring out. BUT there are restrooms - toilets and sinks only.
