We actually didnt stay the night. After doing a hike we looked at the weather forecast and didnt want to use our roof top tent in freezing temperature.

Very nice campground - concrete pads, nice separation between sites, quiet. Great views of night sky. Nice hiking available.

There is a section for tents and one for RVs/campers, etc. The bathroom was pretty clean with toilets and sinks. No showers. No electric hookups. The most amazing display of stats I've ever seen.

The campground experience was fine, but the weather was not conducive to a brief visit. It was pretty obvious where the reserved site was located; determining if a no- show site for a second night might be available not so much.

The birding was surprisingly good. We saw several kinds of sparrows, a Hermit Thrush, a Pyrrhuloxia, grackles, jays, mockingbirds, and ravens. The campground itself is not much more than a parking lot, but it provided a night at an interesting place.

Great location, right at the trail head for Gaudalupe Peak Trail. RV space is on a level paved surface that's long enough for a combined rig length of 50ft. No connections, strickly dry camping but the park provides a water bottle fill station.

We love camping in national parks and have now visited 42 of the 63 parks. We rate this park and this camping experience in the bottom two (along with Hot Springs in Arkansas). The RV camping is literally just a half parking lot that has been blocked off for about a dozen RVs. No space or amenities at all. To top it off, the parking lot is at the trailhead for the park's major hikes. So, hikers start pouring in before 7 a.m. for hiking. We booked two nights but left after one. The website should include a major disclaimer about these "campsites." The park is also disappointing unless you are able to do some long challenging hikes. To be honest, we could not figure out why Guadalupe Mountains was designated as a national park.

This site was maintained great and picnic tablesThey have fill up water station for big jugs. And also a separate water filling station for water bottles. They also have an outdoor wash up kitchen. Bathrooms but no showers.

You are camping in a parking lot, so don't be suprised, but the location is really close to great hikes and the lot is quite in the evening. I would highly recommend the location.

We were in the RV section with our van -- it's basically just a parking lot but the spaces are pretty level. Easy access to lots of great hikes! There are amazing Texas Madrone trees in the parking lot. We were there in November and they were loaded with gorgeous red berries. No cell coverage but there is WiFi at the Pine Springs Visitor Center just a short walk away. You can hear highway noise in the mornings/evenings which is a little unfortunate.

Campground conveniently located at trail head for many hikes and short walk to visitor center. Park Rangers come through frequently, was quiet and peaceful. Beautiful park!

We enjoyed our stay at Pine Springs Campground, with the exception of the fierce winds, which made us to decide to keave a day early. Despite that, which is certainly not the fault of the campground, we had an excellent time. The rangers were friendly and helpful, and the campground is well-placed for exploring the park. It is an easy walk to the visitors center and a number if trailheads leave right from the campground. We did the Devils Hall trail and another day drove to McKittrick Canyon, where we thiroughly enjoyed hiking to the grotto.

It is a parking lot, so not your typical national park campground. However, it was clean, had nice bathrooms (no showers), and was very convenient to trails. It was a good place to stay for a couple of nights while visiting the park.
@BethW1140729 · Camped on Jan 26, 2022 at Campsite #26
Even though the camping is on a paved parking area, it is a great location and convenient to things in the park. It is very safe and you feel comfortable leaving your solar panels outside (locked of course) to charge while you are playing tourist. Everything was very clean and staff organized and welcoming.
