Perfect location for being close to the trails. Walkable distance to everything the park has to offer. This specific spot can be a bit noisy as early hikers arrive/begin to show up.

Great campsite for taking the hike to the peak, the only problem is the 12 check in and check out. We arrived on the first night and planned the hike for the next day, however we did need to get up early enough to move into the a spot near the trailhead. It's a 6 hour hike so with the 12 check out it didnt allow us to stay in the spot. Otherwise the site is great and would stay there again.

The campground was beautiful, but it was 16* when we woke up in the morning, too cold to walk around and enjoy it.

The RV campsites are in a parking lot. That being said, we had a BEAUTIFUL view from our site. The trails started from very nearby and were great. We were surprised by the nice, heated bathroom. It was very cold, but we managed, even without heat in our teardrop. It is a lovely place! The tent sites were very impressive with lots of privacy.

Big Bend national park ranks right up there with Yellowstone. The whole experience was awesome. All the Rangers were extremely friendly and helpful. It was easy to book the spot online and easy to find all of the different features in the park were very impressive. We will definitely visit again.

It's a parking lot, but what a view! The trails are awesome.

Very convenient for Guadalupe Peak. Not much shade so be prepared to be hot. Lots of flies. The water bottle filler wasn't working but there's another big tap with potable water. It would be great to have access to power somewhere in the facility building please.

Underwhelming campground but my campsite was okay... when we arrived there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. So little to do at this NP other than hike which I usually love but the cold cold cold blustery wind made being outside very challenging. Pretty sunset and sunrise from the CG.

Loved the location. Clean, quiet, natural!

I stayed in spot #33 and it was pretty good. It felt more than just a parking lot since it was on the outer edges. It was a great spot but is also very exposed with not much privacy. If youre looking for a spot on the edges and a bit of privacy I would say #25 and #31 are the best for that. The wind in this location is no joke. I have a Thule rooftop tent that cantilevers over the edge of my car and the wind was so bad that it lifted up half my tent, with me inside of it. It made for an interesting night and morning. But the fact that you are right next to the trailhead of several trails is a huge plus. There is a community sink for washing dishes which is a great amenity to have. The bathrooms were extremely clean.

EXCELLENT! Campground immediately adjacent to hiking trails. Nice restrooms and fresh water supply. Setting was spectacular with surrounding mountains.

Had a great time in Carlsbad and Pine Springs was the perfect place to stay. The weather was not to hot for June and there was plenty of outdoor activities including hikes, the Caverns, and Carlsbad the town. If you stay at Pine Springs with an RV or Camper, pick the sites on the north end nearest the trailhead. The campsite on the east side are nothing more than a space in a parking lot.

Beautiful locations and wonderful trails! The campgrounds and restrooms were clean and well maintained -- and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Always love coming here. Pine Springs is Gateway to a beautiful "sky island" straddling Texas and New Mexico. Lots of great trails to explore near the campsite. The tent camping here is great but the RV camping is basically a parking lot. It was quiet and the host was nice. I actually didn't realize when I booked the trip that we wouldn't have hookups. I will remember that for next time for sure! The bathrooms were clean and fucntional and warm. Amenities could use some updates but part of why I love it here is how out of the way it is, so I won't complain too much if it stays just as rustic as it is now.

Wonderful park and good camping site. Beautiful to wake up to the sunrise on the mountains. The 31-33 spots are the best because you're off to the side and closer to the plants. I'd recommend.

The site is a parking lot and right by the trail heads. The toilet is clean.

This is a different campground. The Tent sites seem amazing with privacy and well separated. The RV area is a striped parking lot where about 25 RV's squeeze in. I selected a nice site for our small tear drop trailer with plenty of nearby room for our Van. On the Recreation.gov website they displayed a Pop-up camper with a truck parked sideways in front of it in our planned site. We arrived and checked in at the visitor's center who indicated with a reservation we could proceed to our site. As I was starting to back in to the numbered spot the Camp Host approached my wife basically yelling at her that I could not park there as my trailer and truck did not fit in the defined lines. His veins were literally popping out of his forehead. I got out of my van and worked to calm him down. I indicated the on-line photo of the pop-up camper I saw and indicated I could park our small tear drop in the site and park my van in the nearby parking spots as I starred into a nearly empty parking lot at around 3pm. He explained this was not acceptable, and I could not park there as there might be a sudden onslaught of hikers! Luckily, another camper had cancelled on using his site and the host allowed us to move into the site, which was poorly positioned and was really difficult to get into. Many Campsite Hosts do an admirable job guiding and informing the public. This guy however was way , way over the line, If the paying customers are so troubling to you, you should give up your Camp Host position pronto.

This campsite is great, as it is rustic and off the beaten path but also has good amenities. Bathrooms were close and the site was clean and well-stocked (good surface, picnic table). Great place to enjoy nature with kids.

RV campground is a parking lot. No privacy, at times generator-noisy. The positive is that it’s a great location for accessing great Guadalupe hikes.

The campsite was great! The facilities are well maintained. The park rangers are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I can't wait to come back! Please make use of red lights after sunset so as not to disturb fellow stargazers and neighbors.

A bit overpriced for a small spot in a parking lot at a trailhead, but that is NPS for you. Stay was fine except for a bit of a rude, overzealous campground host.
