Incredible place with awesome scenery and hiking. Only thing I would recommend is be prepared for wind.

Nice spot! Ground was a bit hard but still easy enough to get stakes in.

This campsite was nice. These hike to sites are a little close but oh well.

AWESOME! Too many people are allowed to leave their lights on ALL night, strung around their tents, so that was annoying. Yay. You own solar lamps. Im so impressed. We are in a dark sky location and you cant turn your flippin lights off when you go to bed. How ignorant ARE people? Turn your lights off . Note the weather before you go, off season bring a good sleeping bag AND sleeping pad for warmth. Also note sites are absolutely adorable but most are a tiny walk in. Worth it tho.

Amazing place to camp, right at the foot of Guadalupe Peak! Both the stars and the sunset were incredible. Beware of high winds battering your tent! We needed to added extra tie-downs.

Very pretty camp sites. B/c I need to use stakes to put my tent up, I found it very difficult to install stakes through the crush rock used to establish tent site.

The bathrooms at the trailhead were out of service. Why must there be no showers? This would really make it more pleasant to camp here.
The Pine Springs campsites were lovely but given itโ€™s the desert, either some shade or at least room to put up a shade would be great.

Everything was great and the park rangers were very informative and helpful

Was a great stay overall. Everyone was helpful with insights about climbs and hikes, respectful and quiet when supposed to be quiet. The facilities were adequate. Could use an update with all of the day hikers who come through the park. If i could wave my magic wand, I would add showers but I know water is scarce and expensive in this area. Maybe for overnight campers only with a code? Campsites are small but picnic tables are awesome and pads seemed big enough for 6-8 person tent. Very clean park with well managed comings and goings by the rangers. They are not very personable but they are present and effective. Our park hosts were fantastic. They were very nice and sympathetic to the things we did not know. One thing the park needs to do better is tell you that propane fire rings and other non-live fire fuels may not be allowed. The signs only say wood and charcoal not allowed. We were confused, the rangers were direct and the hosts mediated the difference. FYI, do not overlook Carlsbad Caverns about 30 minutes away or McKittrick Canyon which is less than 10 minutes from the campground in the park. Guadalupe Peak is a tough climb but worth it. Make sure you take water, snacks and flashlights in case you are late coming back. I needed mine. Even with the minor frustrations our stay was AMAZING and I will go back as many times as I can. Loved every bit of this experience.

Beautiful views, very clean camp facilities. Loved our short stay camping here. Quite windy at night in October

Great small and fairly quiet campground. The weather temperature dropped the first night unexpectedly, but the area is filled with great views, and a sense of peace while nestled in the mountains. It was nice having this campground added to places that can be reserved this year - instead of first come first serve. At a 8-9 hour drive across the state, it means that in the past, I've either camped at an "off peak" time in order to guarantee a spot, or "swung by" on my way back through from another spot (e.g. camping at Davis State park, and left at 4 or 5 a.m. in order to get in some day hiking before heading back to Dallas. For the next improvement - please add showers, and maybe campsite grills.
