Quiet campground with easy access.

The RV spaces were a good size, wide enough that other campers had their vehicle parked next to their campers. The restrooms were basic: toilets, sinks, hand dryers. No showers. But clean. The hike with guadalupe peak was brutal but had fantastic views along the way.

Beautiful RV site, clean restrooms, easy accessibility to highway, trailheads well marked and trails nicely maintained. Only downsides were broken sink at the restroom for dishwashing and an inability to fill your water tanks with a hose.

Have been here several times. Always a pleasure. This time around, very few RV's. Very quiet.

Just returned from two nights at site 24 in Pine Springs @Guadalupe Mt National Park. After reading the warning online re:low hanging branches/8ft restriction I almost cancelled due to my RV being 9.5ft. We went anyway and were pleasantly surprised at the great spot and my rig fit perfectly. The restrooms were clean, warm and convenientonline had warned of limited services. We were able to wash dishes, deposit trash and recycle at the receptacles on site. Best part was the trailhead for Guadalupe Mt Peak hike and several other great hikes were right there so there wasnt any need to drive anywhere the morning of our hike and we returned to our rig and cleaned up in the warm restroom. There were flush toilets and running water in sinks. The spot did have some trees but they werent an obstacle and even had a family of deer come by one of our mornings. Couldnt have asked for too much more from a site with no hookups and on the edge of a parking lot. Id stay there again.

This was the worst NPS campground I've ever stayed at. We have a small camper and they basically made a parking lot the camping space. Because our camper is smaller, we got a site on the outside with tree brunches overhanging our camper on an extremely windy night. We didn't check out the tent camping, hopefully it's better, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with an rv. Better off at a crowded rv park!

Knew ahead of time that we were staying in a busy asphalt site. Pulled into site 24 and realized that a tree branch was hanging over our site and made it nearly impossible to back into. We somehow maneuvered diagonally into the site without encroaching on our neighbors. What irked me is we were staying in the RV only site, when one site was occupied by two cars with people sleeping in their cars overnight taking up a large RV spot. No camp host stopping them.

The campground is part of a parking lot near a trailhead, so it is quite busy with hikers parking their vehicles . The sites are small and you have to watch out for tree branches. No facilities. On the positive site, you have a place to camp in the park.

The hoar frost was beautiful. It was very windy and cold. The dish washing water froze. Good hiking trails. I like the trail to Smith Spring.

Access to the RV site was great and the location in the park produced spectacular views from our RV. Washrooms were very clean. We enjoyed the trails we took very much. Devils Hall is moderate to extreme.

A beautiful place to camp. Be sure to visit nearby Frijoles Ranch site and hike the Smith Springs trail. There are also many hiking trails of varying difficulty that start right by the campground. Always take plenty of water and be prepared for sudden weather changes. The Guadalupes are frequently VERY windy. The Visitor Center is excellent, with museum quality displays about the geology, flora and fauna, and history of the area. Be aware that the Visitor Center is closed on a few specific federal holidays during the year. The park website lists those dates. This is a very remote area. The nearest services like gasoline, propane, and groceries are at least 30 miles away. But the Visitor Center does sell ice.Go! Enjoy! You will be glad you did.

Super basic paved sites but in a beautiful area. There is access to potable water, toilets, and a visitor center. Rangers are usually around during the day. We have site 24 which is a back-in trailer type site and had the best shade available. We hiked Devil's Hall which is a good warm-up hike to some beautiful locations at the end. it's an out and back that is a partial trail and partial dry river bed. We plan to come back and hike the peak sometime soon because morning/afternoon temps quickly became too hot to be safe and enjoyable. If you want to hit the peak trail at about 4 or 5 AM then you'll be able to beat the heat. Next time I just need to motivate some family members to wake up early enough to make this happen. We stayed for 3 nights in June 2022 and visited Carlsbad Caverns for the bat talk on one night, and the hike into the caves on another day. The cool temps inside the caverns are much appreciated!

We stayed in the RV loop which is just a big parking lot. The campground hosts were very available and engaged with campers very often. I felt safe knowing they had things under control. We camped two nights and visited Carlsbad Caverns during the day. It's about 45-60 minutes away.

It is a great launching off place for Carlsbad caverns. This park is a hikers paradise. This campground is basically a parking lot but it fit our needs perfectly.
