I was very impressed by the tidy campsites and surprisingly pristine vault toilets. It is a beautiful and peaceful setting, with a nice variety of hiking and biking options. The only issues that I had were that the hand pump was not working so there was no water available on-site, and the surface of the campsite is so hard-packed, I could not get my flimsy tent stakes to penetrate the crushed stone surface.

Great hiking trails. Each site is private and comfortable. Camp hosts friendly and well informed about the area. Great stay!

Way too much gravel in the campsites and the access roads. Campsites too exposed to the road. Chimney-deep campfire rings, too deep for a small fire.

This is a beautiful campground with nicely separated sites that ensure everyone truly feels surrounded by the woods. The sites were well maintained, picnic tables were clean, fallen wood for fires was plentiful (bring a hatchet or hand saw to help) and the vault toilets were surprisingly clean for what they are. Sites, bathrooms, water, and bear boxes are all very easily accessed. A moderate field in the middle of the loop is a perfect spot to stargaze or picnic, practice mountain biking, toss a frisbee, etc. There are lots of trails in the immediate vicinity. The campground hosts were so friendly and helpful - it's nice to share a chat, trade stories, and get info on nearby trails, scenery, and more. The only change I'd like to see is smoother gravel at the sites. The crushed rock is densely packed, making it hard to drive smaller tent stakes, and the stones are sharp. I was worried it could tear my tent's ground tarp (it did not, thankfully).

Overall, I can't say enough nice things about this campground. I will definitely return here!!
